well, things are going to be interesting around here looks like, my daughter just helped an old friend of hers move out on an abusive "boyfriend", he doesn't yet know that his little housemouse has left, he'll find out when he gets home and has to fetch his own beer. it looks like lili and i will be running "gunner's school for independent bitches" again, maria needs to learn that she is her own person. able to make choices and decisions without a man to ratify them. that she has a right to her own personality. hell, you know the drill, several of our ladies have escaped much the same and spoken about it. when she gets her own place and her computer set up again i'm thinking of suggesting she visit here, you-all would be good for her, if/when i'll introduce her around. meanwhile please keep "maria/midge" up in vermont in your thoughts. thanks

*sigh* It's times like this I thank the Goddess for my wonderful husband and for the fact that I do not have to go through this or feel like this. I have watched so many of my friends go through something this horrible, and even the outsiders, who nevertheless want to help out, just end up feeling helpless themselves. I will light a candle for Maria/Midge and ask the Goddess to strengthen her mind and heart, giving her the emotional ammunition she needs (yes, that was a pun intended there, gunner ;)) to live her life without that poor excuse for a human being what used to be her 'other half'. Sheesh, I get profound, I start sounding like my friend Wendy, who is very much a Brit! Okayyyy...that was off topic and I know that means it's time to stop babbling and close this...

Well put Mair! I totally agree. Can't wait to meet her gunner.
I'll be sending warm thoughts her way for sure. :)
