Let's look at love!
We can look at a simple 6 card tarot spread from Power Tarot by McGregor and Vega. Shuffle and start by laying out cards 1-4 in a vertical line, #1 being at the top.
To the right of #4 at the bottom, lay 5 and 6 horizontally. You'll have an "L" shape.
Card 1. Your past experience in love.
2. Your current experience in love.
3. What you want from a love relationship.
4. What you need from a love relationship.
5. What you have to give to your lover.
6. Possible future experience in love.
Share your findings with the group.
Need help with your interpretation?
Post your cards and we'll look at them together.

Well, I am not sure we are ready to do spreads at this point , as many of us have only looked at three cards, but I will go for it anyway. This could prove to be very interesting and I welcome any and all feedback!
1st card: past love experience.
I drew the 4 of swords, which has always represented to me a time of healing and waiting. That would be a simple definition, which is all I feel up to right now. I think it is right on with my past love experiences. I was hurt only once or twice, but enough to make me very cautious and willing to wait for prince charming, or whatever he is!!
2nd card:Your current experience in love.
I drew the 4 of cups...what is it with these blasted fours?!?! This bothers me a bit because to me this card represents one who is so selfabsorbed they don't recognise the love in their life. The picture on my deck is a man sitting beneath a tree looking at three cups before him. A cloud of sorts is offering him a fourth cup yet he doesn't even see the offer because he is too busy looking at the others and to me appears to be saddened by the number he has. I am feeling lousy today physically and can't wait for Mol to come home and take care of me. i can only hope that is the reason I pulled this card. I will have to do some searching later though to find any other links. I hope I am not selfish regarding love.
3rd card: What you want from a love relationship
I drew the Ace of wands. To me this card is telling us we have to be courageous to get what we want. It is a symbol of confidence or gifts yet to come. Also an inkling that creativity is around the corner. I think this is a pretty good representation of what I want out of love...endless possibilityies and gifts. Not monetary gifts, but gifts of love and compassion.
4th card: What you need from a love relationship.
I drew the six of wands, which has always meant to me a victory, pride and strong self-esteem. I think these are things that we all need to feel from a lover. After all, if we don't feel like we have achieved something worth trying for then why are we here. Also it is important to feel good about yourself in many ways and being in a healthy relationship is the best way to do that.
5th card: What you have to give to your lover.
I drew the 8 of cups....aaagggghhhh!!!! Now this card, when pulled in a relationship question always prompts me to think it is time to move on. It also stands for the need to find a deeper meaning in something you are persuing. I can only hope this refers to the spirituality path we have been on together as Mol has said he gets a lot of support and strength from me to find the real path he needed to be on. I hope that is it anyway! :)
6th card: Possible future experience in love.
I drew the page of wands.... finally a great card!! Thank the Gods!!! This card is always a sign of good things to come.A messenger brigning opportunities for passion. This is a good sign if you are considering doing something you have always dreamed of, but an even better card in a love spread I think!
Well, there it is in all its glory. Took me a long time to complete, fighting off waves of nauesea...but I did it. Now pick it apart friends and tell me what you think it all really means.

Keep in mind that I am a very elemental person...and as such I am using my using my newly aquired Elemental Tarot deck.
I never could get much from the Tarot...but now I feel a change. This is the first reading with this deck.
1. Past Experience: The Seven of Earth - Avalanche card
This card is very vivid and represents risk taking, chance, relying on luck. Which is quite true of my past. Iwas always very risky with whom I choose to date and give my heart. It was anyone's to take.
2. Current Love: Sun Card (19th Major) - represents my feeling right now. I feel as I did when I was a child. I feel new, still. After some time...I still feel this way as if nothing has really changed. The Sun represents a sense of awareness as well.
3. What I Want: Nine of Fire - Radiance Card
Also a very vivid card, which represents to me a want to be me. I just want to be allowed to be what I am and who I am. This is what I Want.
4. What I Need: Father of Water
I need a harmonious relationship. I need to be in sync with other. I need trust. I am a very sensitive and creative and I need the ability to be that without being stifled.
5. What I have to Give: Death
A perfect card. I have only change to give. Never boring and always something new on the horizon. Some people might fear that but I need someone who can embrace it (Which I have!) I also get a feeling of spritual transformation which is happening to us both right now...and has been continual since we met.
6. Possible Future: Three of Water - The Spa Card
The healing power of true unselfish love. The book actually has a definition that sums this up and almost makes me cry.
A good marriage.
