Craving for Tarot

I was visiting my sweetheart in Arizona, and I had this persistant feeling on Saturday to bring out my Tarot cards. (of course, my tarot cards were several hundred miles away. . . :( )

Does anyone else ever get a "craving" to mess with their cards, whether to read or just air them out or shuffle them unconsiously?

Yes. Mine sometime demand that I take them out. I know that one of my roommate's decks does the same.

I get 'cravings' for all things, including working with tarot cards. Whether it be a specific meditation, a type of food, a certain beverage, a specific magickal practice or whatever.

I always do it, if able as well, cause I believe when we truly need something, we ourselves will let us know. Perhaps I am craving orange juice due to my body needing the Vitamin C, or I feel a strong urge to work with my cards to uncover a new understanding of things.

Yup, I do get 'cravings'.. But usually I don't read..I just look through the pictures. 8O

It's not necessarily reading the cards, sometimes just handling or shuffling a deck of cards is a very "grounding" and calming exercise for me. I'll go through and handle and look at the various decks, and shuffle the ones that seem to "need" it.

Yes, I will sometimes get the maddening desire to touch my decks (I was careful how I typed that!) Like zakzekezedd, most of the time I just sit around shuffling the decks, but sometimes I do a reading for myself. Thanks Puma! Now I have to go out and buy a deck Friday--I have been wanting a new deck this week and this is the perfect excuse! :lol:

I know this is off topic, but where in Arizona did you visit? If you visited the metropolitan area, how did you like our 100+ degree weather? I went the state fair on Friday and it was HOT! I hope you visited one of our "nicer" towns up North. PM me if you want some tips on some great locations to visit next time you come to Arizona! I love to talk about my state!

Yep! I have cravings sometimes, i just like get a real big urge to work with them! It's kinda annoying when that happens and i have no-one to read for, seen as i cannot read for myself. But i don't usually have that problem :)

There's been a few times I"ve sat and shuffled my deck while meditating. Didn't do a reading, just shuffle. It's as if I was infusing some of my energy into/onto them.

Oh I crave. You'd better believe I crave! :) I do take my babies everywhere! My "purse" is a mini pleather backpack, and they fit so snuggly inside that I can't help but bring my cards everywhere I go! Sometimes I'll be out and the feeling just hits me...so I do cards in my car, in the park, in a quiet corner of a cafe...I try to be discreet about it...sometimes I'll be with a friend and the cards want me to work with them for my friend, so if my friend wants me to, then they're there and all ready...okay I'm done rambling for now. :)
