Co-workers. FUN! not (rant/vent)

OK. an employee of the company has been transferred from another department to mine. We gave him a run down of our policies and so on, just like we would a regular new hire. In the beginning whenever he had any questions we’d go ahead answer them and show him where we got that answer so that he’d know where to look next time. Well no. He’s gotten used to asking and having the replies handed to him on a silver platter –if not a golden one. He asks his question, shrugs and gives that “well, what’s the answer?” look.

I want to ring his neck.

So today he has questions and I tell him where he can look for the answer himself since I’m on a deadline to get some paperwork in at a certain hour. He rose his voice to me. Oh heck no. so I’m going to bite my tongue and the second he does anything like that one more time. We’re going to have a talk.

We just had one escorted out of the building the other day for threats of bodiy harm to another coworker. Fun stuff.

at the hotel that i work at there is a convention on and they have hired their own chef's, well fair enough but they are sexist and i have the condition of being female. they wont talk to me, they expect me to get out of THEIR way when im busy, they talk about me in my face(just so you know they are indian and dont realise that i undersrtand them and can speak their language, thats gonna be fun!) :collapse: and they are using thier culture as an excuse to make me and my superior barbra uncomfortable.So anywho im going to tell them straight tomorrow in their own language that i will not tolerate their ignorance in any way and that im there to do a job and if they dont like it im going to talk to their head chef who visits daily to check up on them. :razz:

I share my office space with two colleages. Both smoke, I don't. One of them wants the window open, the other wants it closed. Always. One of them wants the sun-shades open, the other wants them closed. Always. One wants to play music, the other wants it quit. Always.

I think I was placed in that office for strategic reasons.

i did it! they pooped kittens im tellin ya! the look on their faces was absolutely priceless and i didnt have a camera handy, that sux. they where sooooo sorry and barb didnt understand what had gone off. the oldest tried to twist it to make it sound like i should have told them b4 but i just said basically that if he hadnt been cussing me and barb i wouldnt have had a problem. so everything is back to normal.

most times i make sure every man fears me cuz thats the only way to keep them under control :smoke:
