My friend Jo just told me that she's getting snow already in Upstate NY! It's a month early!

*...pouts jealously...*

Some of our slopes were supposed to open this Friday, but because it's been so warm here the past week, I found out today they're not going to. My poor boyfriend has been so looking forward to being able to go skiing this weekend, just to find out only two days before we're supposed to leave that he can't.

*...wishing for snow...*

It's been close to 90 degrees here the past few days. It's just not right! It's supposed to snow by Halloween, and now it might be in the 80's for it!

*...still pouting...*

Bbbrrrr! It's hot in my area too. It was a 103 F yesterday and 100 F today. It's sooooo hot. I wish that it would cool off a bit.

Snow is so over rated!
I lived in New England for over 25 years.
I live in Northern Virginia now.
I don't miss the snow!
The only thing I really miss is skiing, but not that much.

Well It's about 60 and sunny here in Florida so far.. supposed to get up to 80 today I think.. which is really nice

unfortunately the resorts around salt lake dont open till after thanksgiving so I wont even be able to go boarding while I'm home on leave. then I go to texas good luck getting any snowboarding done there. nallia I feel your pain

I think that it was 55 here this morning - not sure. Just noticed that I didn't need to throw on a jacket.

According to the NBC thermometer, it's 75 now.

I just wish it would rain - it's too dry and I can't get to the garden until Sunday!

If you think your weather's bad, try Oklahoma, It was around 39degrees this morning, and it's like 85 now, I've seen it snow, melt, flash flood, and snow again, within 24hrs. only to be nice and pretty the next day

Now first of all you all who wish for snow: shut up! You should be happy to live in such warm places. I can't stand people wishing for snow when I myself live in the ICECITY and we have -30 C here for the whole winter. Obviously, we have loads and loads of snow, and loads and loads of darkness. It's dark from 6pm to 10am and the snow is often so high you can't even walk properly. You have to SWIM in it. Except in the downtown, there it's ok. Yes, this lovely place is called Finland. So stop asking for snow and be happy!! :damncold:

We got our first snow of the season here last night - it started not long after we went out for a walk. Of course it wasn't enough to collect on the ground, nor would it have stayed if it did, but it was nice. We're supposed to get a little more today.

I try to go for a walk in it whenever I can in October, because come January, I'll HATE the stuff.

We got snow last Friday (the 24th) as well. It was absolutely cold the day before. It's quite amazing, however, this early in the year.

I love living here, though. We can have -30 and snow on Monday, and by Friday it's all melted and everything is green and +20 again....

I wish it would snow here continuously throughout winter, but at most we are lucky to get one inch, if we ever get any at all. :sadeyes:
