Dominant hand?

I hope this is where this should be posted.

I would appreciate some help figuring out which is my dominant hand.
I am a leftie, but do many things right-handed. Is it just a matter of
what feels right (excuse the pun), or is there something else involved?

I'm not following... it's commonly held that we "recieve" energy through our left hand and "send" it through our right...is that what you mean?

send energy with the dominant and recive with the other. I'm a leftie too (yay!) and tend to do a lot of stff with my right hand, but when it comes to energy and stuff that's how I do it.


and everything is about how it feels isn't it. if you can't be attune with your feelings and emothions then what's the point?

Well sort of. Because if you think about it you’re sending everything you have why not send it with the hand you have better control over?

What feels right for me seems to be sending energy with my right hand
and receiving into me with my left. It sounds backwards to me until I
think about the gathering into myself with the hand I eat and write with.
Eating is a form of gathering energy. My apologies to vegans, but I cut my meat with my right hand (expending energy) and eat it with my left (receiving energy). At least at this point I'm more comfortable with the idea that my dominant hand doesn't have to be the hand I write with, but
is the one that works for me. Thanks for the help.

It is very important for us lefties to learn to send and receive energy the righty way if we ever wish to work in groups. In a hand-to-hand circle, everyone will need to work in the same way, and that way will almost certainly be the righty way. So train yourself energetically both ways.

In order to determine which hand is the sender and which the receiver, here is a simple and easy test.

1) Hold your hands palm up in front of you, concentrate on drawing energy in.

2) Now move your hands in and out, back and forth a few times, as if you are saying "Sooooo big." From far apart to close together, but not touching. As you do this, you can begin to feel a small energy cushion between your two hands.

3) Hold your right hand flat, face up, and hold your left hand just above it but not touching, face down, and think about PUSHING the energy from the top hand to the bottom. Make a mental note of how it feels.

4) Take a deep breath and release.

5) Repeat steps 1 and 2, and then repeat step 3 except with the two hands switched.

You should now know which is your dominant hand -- it's the one that pushed more effectively, that generated more heat or force or tingle, and/or that felt better on top.

DebLipp..thank you so much. I'm a bit ambidexterous..somethings just seem to come naturally righty, and others lefty. I find I definitely "sense" energies in stones and crystals more accutely with my left hand than my right. I'll have to try your exercise and see if I can determine which hand is truly dominant. (Stupid question maybe, but what if neither hand is truly dominant?)

Then neither hand is dominant. When magical instructions say "dominant hand" do whatever you feel like.

yep, there's no specific hand...but there's only two to choose from so it shouldn't be that hard to find! you need somebody else to figure out which is your dominant hand, i found, just hold your hands up with the other person so that your palms are facing but not touching obviously, and concentrate on pushing energy out of both. if this person is experienced then they should feel which is your stronger hand. That's how i learn anyway, and i could feel it anyway....Jxx
