As for praying, I would say no, not in any sense that we pray that is. I do not know this for a fact, but I would not be surprised if babies spent most of their time in altered states of conciousness, and with that it may be very possible for them to focus energies to some small amount, which is what essentially prayer and spells are.

Here is an interesting idea that may support my theory on babies often remaining in an alpha or theta state.

Some mothers (not all, which does not mean you are a bad mother of course) intuitively know what their kid needs. Sure, it may take a bit of practice, but some have worked it out to be an olympic sport almost.

Perhaps they are communicating with you via telepathy which is brought about by their deepened states of conciousness.
