I recently had my level One attunment (which was so fantastic!!). One thing I would like to do with it is charge the products I make with Reiki. I make homemade aromatherapy products. It would be good for extra healing and energy. And I also think it will give my products a marketing edge as well.
Now my question is- is this ethical? I can't se any reason why it would not be, but one thing I was taught in my class was the Reiki should be asked for. By charging all of my inventory, I am taking that option away.
Also, what is the best way of going about this? Is it better to give Reiki as I am making the products, ie, inthe one big bowl rather thaneach individual conatiner? Or can I do it as I sell the products? And last, how long with the Reiki stay active? Would I need to recharge my inventory from time to time?
Thanks for your input.

I think it would be great...Freyja charges her statues with reiki. Maybe you could just advertise it that way to avoid any ethical issues?

For one thing, I think you should use the level 1 energies for healing yourself, and things in nature.
As for charging objects, I think it wouldn't be a problem to provide the energy in objects, just direct the energy to heal all those willing to utilize the energy.
Energy follows orders. If you tell it to stay with an object, it basically will stay there until told otherwise, utilized, or finds something better to go of to. So it disappating over time, I don't think would be an issue... unless you think it would be an issue.

you just got level one, so you could just use the cho ku rei on you palms while you work.
For attuning objects, you need the 2 and three symbols....at least in Usui.

You can charge objects with Reiki I. I was taught that by my Reiki Teacher in 1993, and she even recommended giving Reiki to mail before sending it out. It is Universal Life Force Energy, which everyone and everything has.....it is everyone's birthright. I don't believe in pushing Reiki on a living being that didn't ask for it, but putting Light into an object is perfectly ethical. Always be sure to follow your Intuition. If you hear no, or don't feel right about it, don't.
If you learned Cho Ku Rei in your level I class you can certainly use it to charge items with Reiki. The other symbols are for long distance healing and mental/emotional healing. Cho Ku Rei is for focus in directing the Energy.
If you didn't learn the Cho Ku Rei in your level I class, you can charge items with Reiki by placing your hands on the object or within one inch of the object. Or use the Cho Ku Rei and also place your hands for a minute to ten minutes. Again use your Intuition.
I was taught to practice Reiki on others when I learned Reiki I. That is also not a problem. It is good practice in sensing blockages and flows. Keep in mind that Reiki is Universal Life Energy, and you don't need to force your will at all. It knows what to do and where to go. You just place your hands and become a channel for the Energy to flow through. You are just a vehicle. The person has asked for the Energy. The Higher Intelligence is in control.....you are a channel. Follow your Intuition. If you cannot sense the Energy flows, then follow the hand positions keeping them in place for about five minutes per position.
It is in practicing Reiki I on others and self....and objects, that we become comfortable with the Energy, and we can move on to the second level.
I hope this helps!

Exactly what Syrena said: you can charge objects with or without Cho Ku Rei.
I know a particular candle supplier here (Massachusetts) that charges all her candles before she sells them. She 'programs' the energy to go to the highest good of the individual who buys and/or burns the candle - if they can't accept that energy, then it will go to someone who can.
It's very individualistic how one charges objects with Reiki. I've found that it came naturally to me, without any attunements. Once I'd gotten Level One though, I was no longer exhausting my own energies to charge objects.

Charge away...it can only do good and will help with your advertising.
