Do you mean what the colors mean, or just how to see them?

how to see them

... try this.
Have someone stand in front of a white wall (or a white curtain, etc). They should be wearing dull or neutral colors. At first, have them stand still. Then have them slowly begin to sway slightly side to side. Relax (kinda unfocus) your eyes, don't look directly at them, look slightly to the side. Have them gradually speed up (but not real fast). You should begin to see color around them. Do this for a minute or two.
The way it was explained to me, you just have to train the eye to see the aura, 'cuz most of us look directly at other's faces, eyes, etc, & not "around" them. Like once you know what you're looking for, you can pick it out (like those "picture within the dots" things).

The best I can do is provide you with a link.

For me, when I am trying to see aura's it is much like trying to see the Magic Eye pictures. You need in the beginning....poor lighting really.....like pre-dawn or twilight.....so you can see, but you don't have the light shining in your eyes. You need to be about 8 - 10 feet from the object you are trying to see.
you should have some colored paper to ....just to get your eyes sensitive to seeing those colors.....I think that is explained in the link above though.
Good luck! ....I'll see if I can't find some other good links.
:D

Hold up your hand between you and a light source. Spread your fingers. Look in the "crescent moon" made from your forefinger and thumb ~ you should be able to at least see an energy pattern, whether you see colors or not. I found that colors come with practice.

I find it clearest to see the aura if they are walking toward me and do not suspect anything. Mairwen do you find it hard to read if they ask you to do it? It is very hard for me if someone asks me to do it !! I like it better when it just shows up naturally.

This morning for the first time , i saw a pink color in the etheric layer of my plant at work,
Am i just seeing things, i mean, isn't the etheric layer supposed to be a non color layer?

Oh yes. If someone approaches me and starts asking questions, I see nothing, but if things just naturally come, so much the better.

The first time I ever saw an aura and knew what I was seeing, it was around my favorite houseplant. The plant just recently died (it was 10 years old, bless her heart), and I feel like I lost a friend. *sigh*
Anyway.
Etheric layer?

Etheric Layer is the "layer" of aura closest to the skin/plant matter. :D There are several "layers" to the aura. :D

Learn something new everyday, I guess. Mythril said it was supposed to be colorless? I've never experienced this. I see color in wide bands, all the way down to the skin. My aura, for example, is usually cobalt blue, and it's very thick ~ I've never seen an "etheric" layer?

Umm... if it's colorless, you probably wouldn't see it... :p
Seriously, it may vary in depth from one to another, no?

I've also heard the Etheric described as "silvery" in 'color' ....like heat coming off hot pavement.... :D

I do not usually see any color. I see a white resonance most of the time coming up from their bodies. And I see it on everything, not just humans on rocks brushes etc. It is very strange.

How long before you started seeing colors, Mairwen? I've been seeing white energy for weeks now, and I'm ready to see some pretty pinks and blues. I've read that some people never ever see colors... I hope I'm not one of them. :(
