how do i read the stars and chart them. i dont know where to start. please help

There are any number of ways to begin.
The first thing you do is dont read any thing by Nostradamus he was a TERRIBLE astrologer

Seriously, if you are really interested, get yourself a good book to begin with for the very basics..... and remember to include some astronomy as well as astrology. There are web sites with beginners information as well ,and one of the BEST is the Mountain Astrologer
