Too bad. :) I'm going to direct you to a link. It's the first one listed at the very bottom of this page under the heading Similar Threads.

And don't worry. One (or more) will find you. It's only a matter of time and keeping your eyes, ears, heart and mind open.

Patron gods and goddesses are the ones who look out for you and that you will probably work with and appeal to most often when you're being spiritual or magickal. They are the form of the Divine that will guide you and Who will show you what lessons you need to learn and what experiences you must have in order to be most fully your best self.

Most people start off with an idea of studying mythology that interests them. You could choose to study Greek (aka Hellenic) mythology or Norse or Egyptian or Celtic or Japanese or Native American.... anything that interests you. Just go to Google.com and type in what you want to learn about, then click on a link from the search and start reading it. Don't worry about memorizing anything. Just kind of let it wash over you. The more you read, the more you will retain. And if you find that you want to move on to another group and learn about them, then go for it.

Eventually, you will find that you gravitate toward certain deities because either you have something in common with Them or else because you *want* to be more like Them. These are good places to start with in finding a patron. Which gods and goddesses interest you most out of those you're reading about. Keep a list and then start learning more about them by typing Their names into a Google search.

You may find your patron out of those on your list.... Or you may find yourself being pulled to a god whose name you only heard once and Whom you decide to find out more about.

But just go slow. Read and learn. By doing the research, you will find out what symbolism belongs to which god and goddess. And if you see a lot of that imagery around you, you may want to pay more attention to the god that symbolism belongs to, because He or She may be trying to get your attention.

Yes, I agree with NeferSesemet, read 'mythology' of cultures that interest you, and keep your soul alive and eyes open. And don't worry about asking questions and thinking people will think your dumb! Because what it means is that you want to LEARN and are willing to put your questions on the table. I've been here for a yearish, and I still ask questions, questions lead to knowledge, and knowledge leads to peace. ^-^
