Hey... I noticed this has gotten a lot of viewing but no posting.

I have several good books, but they are not specific to southern hemisphere... do you want books in general, or particular to your region?

Blessings,

Kalika

Umm... Fiona Horne is a southern hemisphere author, you could check out her books...

Hmm... I don't think I have come across any books that were specific to the Southern Hemisphere, however, that may be because I am in the Northern Hemisphere. :) I will keep my eyes open next time I am in the bookstore though, and will let you know if I come across anything.

Have you tried searching the 'net? Dogpile.com is a good search engine to try, as it searches several different places simultaneously.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help!

Blessings,

Kalika

I haven't read it yet, But "The Wicca Handbook" by Eileen Holland looks good and I hope to buy it soon. There is also a book by Gerina Dunwich that seems like it would be good that teaches you how to write your own effective spells by giving the correspondences and such. BB, PR

For a Southern Hemisphere perspective, you might want to check out Ly De Angeles.

http://www.lydeangeles.com/

Her Witchcraft: Theory and Practice was written with the northerners to get her more visibility. But she is rather friendly.. although has a right wicked sense of humor.
She has a forum on her boards, if you can find it. (The website is rather hard to navigate, but it looks like they are working on fixing that.)

Hope this might help. Blessed Be. Glenda

Fiona Horne's books include a fair bit of Australian-specific content, they're good for an introduction. Neville Drury co-wrote a history of the occult in Australia ("Other Temples, Other Gods") that's worth a look if you can find a copy, and Lynne Hume's book "Witchcraft and Paganism in Australia" is also very good. Ly Warren Clarke (sp?) who publishes under the name of Ly De Angeles these days is Australian, although I don't now how much local material is in her books. Hope that helps :)
