Have just found this site today, and love it already. Seems to be a lot of lovely people here, a shame most of you are so far away, would've loved to join in the gathering I read about earlier! Have already posted some replies, but thought I'd introduce myself properly.

I'm in Kent, England (about 30 miles from London). Happily single with 2 sons of 20 and 16, and 2 crazy cats. I'm not Wiccan, would probably describe myself as a pagan following a Druid path (never have been keen on 'labels' though, I'm really a me! haha)

Have been following this way of life since childhood, but have never met many others who are interested in it (hence 2 divorces from men who were totally against it). Attended a spiritualist church for a couple of years, but found it wasn't really right for me.

It all changed last year when i got the internet - I was amazed to find so many links to pagans in my area. Seemed they'd all hidden themselves well until the time was right for me to find them.

Since then my view on life has gone from being one long struggle beset with too many problems and very few happy moments, to a wonderful experience with a few hiccups now and then - a complete change around. I feel that at the age of 46 I have finally found myself and where I should be.

I still have a lot to learn, but am pleased to find that the knowledge and beliefs I do have are shared by so many other people, and look forward to sharing views with you all.

Blessed Be

Welcome, Lady Rowan!!!

Please come and join us here on the porch! Pull up one of Kaylara's comfy couch/chair thingies and I'll pour you a glass of lemonade!!

I have a friend who used to live in Kent (Seven Oaks and Tonbridge to be precise), so I know the general idea where you are! That's so cool! I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. The people here really are great, and I consider this my home away from home. Here's hoping you feel the same after awhile here! *Raises glass of lemonade* Cheers!!

Thanks for the welcome and Cheers, just what I needed, a long cool lemonade!

Came on-line about 4 hours ago, just to check my e-mail, and got a bit carried away! So glad I did, wouldn't have found this site otherwise.

I'm about 10 miles from Sevenoaks, know it quite well.

Really must get some dinner now, will be bedtime soon and I've got an early start tomorrow visiting more local sacred sites.

I share in Rae's jesture - welcome. You will note that I am a part of the Lemonad Brigade and your cup will never run empty.

I, for one, am rather eclectic and don't like labels either. I would say that I lean more towards Shaman though.

Bright Blessings to you and yours, Lady. And again, welcome to the porch.

Merry meet!

I'm SamuraiInBlack. I'm new to Wicca myself. I'm still learning a lot and finding I'm learning new stuff everyday here. I've sort of come to finding my own beliefs already on things.

Many thanks for the warm welcome, i feel at home already.

Had another lovely day yesterday, went on a Power Walk, beautiful summers day, perhaps just a bit too hot for a 10 mile walk, but better that than rain!
Was going really well till we hit the public footpaths across countryside - thay've been shut for a few months because of foot & mouth disease, so were completely overgrown with nettles and thorns etc. very painful!
But the woods were beautiful and i found myself a lovely staff which had fallen fron a cherry tree , which helped me walk back up the quite steep hills.
Friends found more power objects than i did, but i'm soooooo glad i had my staff to lean on.
Was very hot and tired on the way back, and started hallucinating - kept seeing people on a porch offering me a lemonade! Haha
Blessing to you all

Welcome to the family!!! Glad you found us. We all get a little carried away here when we are just "checking in"!! Part of the charm I guess. Some addictions are good for you!!
