confused?

Hi.. A couple of months ago I was being very depressed about alot of things, and I started talking to my grandfather(which I do often). He past away about 10 years ago. Anyways, I was talking to him and he started talking back. I had asked him to help me and I could feel his hand on my should and told me things would get better. He also told me to call my mother(he was her father) and tell her that he misses her and he loves her. I don't know how it happened but I called my mom and totally freaked her out! Has anyone had this happen to them before,because I have to admit I was a bit freaked out by it myself?!

I think a lot of people have talked to or had contact with the spirits of the deceased. I know that my great-grandmother, whom I never met by the way, has visited with me. Mostly when I was younger and still living at home with my mother, who she raised until her death, but occassionaly also since I've left.

You shouldn't be 'freaked out' by it all. It is a blessing that you were able to reach out to him in such a fashion.

Mothers don't always see things the way that we do. She may not believe it until she has physical proof of her own. If she doesn't get that, she may never believe. It's ok though. You did what your grandfather asked of you, and he knows that.

Thanx for the replies, they help. I haven't been practicing for very long and alot of "strange" things have happen. I think it will take some getting used to. Nothing like that had ever happened to me before. Thanx

I can't remember ever having had an encounter like that. I wouldn't like talking to dead people, although I do talk to spirits... I'm confusing myself... OK so let's say I don't consider those spirits to be dead people.

At least none ever asked me to be a messenger. But I can imagine people totally freaking out. If those people are any bit religious, like Christian, just remind them that a whole lot of Christians have been talking to spirits (mostly to Jesus, Mary and God) and some saints have even talked with animals (can't remember his name right now, was it Augustine?).

Of course, you wouldn't suggest being a saint yourself, you're just a little more perceptive.
