What are your opinions on Bad or "evil" spells ?

I seem to be writing alot of them un-intentionally.

But would any of you guys/gals use them (Ever) ?

I have (past tense). Although, I have gone 11 years without casting a malicious spell. That's pretty good I think.

Just out of curiousity what do you consider to be bad/evil?

Spells designed to hurt or kill.

A spell that would hurt someone or yourself, or a spell that would take away someone's free will.

Is that designed to be a question to me , or a statement to Zeph. ?

It was a question hon, to you. Evil is relative to the person to a large extent and to answer your question I needed to know what exactly you were asking. :)

I have written a few you would consider evil under those terms, but have not performed them. However I have to point out on the "harmful" part of your definition, I think there can be cases where it is justified. I know of a few people who called upon the divine after being harmed themselves for justice and "harm" to the other person came from it....I just don't consider it wrong in certain circumstances...

At the same time though, I consider writing to be my main "purge" so I expect to see a few nasties come about within it.

If you are writing them unintentionally I wouldn't fret yet. Start to worry when you have to fight yourself to keep from following through on them. They could be your purge... but don't be so quick to assume justification on anything either...we have to examine each situation. It can be a bit sticky, yes?

And as always this is simply my opinion and I am frequently in the minority. But I hope I helped a bit anyway. :)

When it comes to magick, the only thing I refer to as "bad" is a mistake. Like raising energy, not doing anything with it, and letting it pool around your body. x_x

But nothing to me is evil. Evil is a creature of moralities, and I'm amoral (not immoral!) when it comes to magick. I do have my ethics, though. :)

I've used magick for ill before, and I'll do it again if I have to. I don't have morals when it comes to harming, but I don't run around all the time and give people a crappy day. I use magick with great responsibility. In fact, if I really have to hurt someone, I'd rather beat them up with a baseball bat rather than cast a spell. But I don't hate anyone that much, and it's generally very hard to get me to hate anyone. Therefore, I don't beat people up all the time, either. :)

When it comes to negative magick, a binding only goes as far as the energy you put into it. If your target raises enough energy to block it, then it's useless. I'm highly resistant myself, and I can undo bindings. I'm so freaking resistant to everything that I can't give myself sleeping spells. And I'm insomniac! X_X
But, fortunately, I can't resist just anything. I'm as powerless / powerful as anyone else. I'm just subconciously stubborn. :)

Harmful magick is used only in certain circumstances. Don't use it because someone made fun of you. Use it only if someone hurt you, is making threats to you (idle or not; you can never be sure!), or is putting you in some kind of danger. Use it responsibly! Geez, I sound like an anti-drug commercial... o_O

I don't think there's anything wrong with "writing" a "bad" spell. If that's what you find you've been doing lately, maybe it's just your brain venting some negative feelings in poetic way. I've cast hexes before (major past tense), and paid the karma that was coming to me for them. However, that was actually casting, not just writing.

Sometimes I don't believe in karma but that's another thread.

I just write them but I don't cast them, If I worked up enough hate to cast one I'd probably use all my energy in it.

I don't "write" "bad" spells, I do them. I only write them if I feel like being super ordered or some such garbage. And karma never comes running for me. I don't believe it, and I don't will it. If I believed it, I would have put will towards it, then I'd be the "victim" of "karma" I don't even believe in. I'm not trying to prove or disprove karma, but I'm just saying it will work if you want it to. It's all will. I haven't seen it work, it hasn't killed me in a myriad of ways, etc. If it existed for me, I would be dead for doing horrible, viscious things in the past.

If someone believes in karma what's to stop them from putting something like "and this spell shall not come back to haunt" or
"Karma shall not effect me" ?

If they believed in karma strongly enough, then they'll psychologically make it happen anyway. Picture this: "Okay, I'm going to tell the supposed will of the universe that I'm powerful enough to stop its crushing hand, and..." This is called the self-defeating situation.

If they don't believe it strongly enough, then it won't happen. But since they DO believe, their subconcious will start playing karma games. It only stops when you totally banish the belief. :)

I believe in karma and I have seen it in action!!! That was beautiful... (I'm trying not to take too much joy in it!)
