What do you call someone whose moods influence the weather, if you believe in such things?

Personally I call them a weather witch. And yes I believe it's completely possible to influence the weather, not always smart, but possible.

**nods** I agree with the weather witch description. Although..... they *could* be Zarthans. Or Libras.

The one I know inadvertantly does it with her stronger emotions. We don't live near the coast (I know how weather can change on the coast) and in one day we had the thickest fog I have ever seen, the clearest sunniest brightest day, and then the hardest downpour with the oddest beginning and end (it ended as soon as she fell asleep).

What are Zarthans and Libras (or was it just a joke that I didn't get because I'm not quite sure what you're talking about :fpeek: )

I call that person "Guy/Girl-What-Changes-Weather" :) :p :D
A person who doesn't practice magick and changes the weather has latent magickaly ability, and if trained, would become VERY VALUABLE members of the magickal community!
Magick is coming back into the world. It's coming alive again. Embrace!

Interesting. I've never noticed weather changing with my moods. Changing weather is one of the abilities I've had since I was little, wind being the easiest for me to manipulate. Not that I go around controlling weather, but hey when your little and you can make it stop raining it's really interesting. I've never noticed anything with moods though. I'm sure it is something that can actually be handled with practice. It's something you noticed or does she realize it also. Maybe some simple meditation could help.

If i really concentrate i can affect the rain.I can't make it rain, but i can affect it when it is. I can make it lighter or heavier, although it takes alot of conentration and doesn't always work. i can calm storms sometimes too, but not usually

More often it works the other way around and the weather affects our moods. Weather Witch is a good label, also Weather Worker. But why do you even need a label?

I saw the most beautiful thing related to weather and people. This most awesome woman actually stopped a tornado from hitting a camping spot with the help of several people. It was awesome...I believe like tornados move in a specific direction (its on the tip of my tongue right now) anyways, this tornado...the funnel cloud actually moved completly around the camping ground area perfectly. It was so amazing to see this woman do this! Something I will never forget.

On a good day, and by good day I mean I've had at least 6 hours of sleep contimuously, I can rouse up a wind or quell one momentarily. It's useful for when you're having a good hair day.

I never heard of it done by mood changes but maybe. I can tell you when it's going to snow a month in advance. Snow is my weather ability. My mom and husband think it's funny, cause it drives me crazy to get a vision for snow.

Weather change by mood swings only work if enough energy is put into it. I don't mean gargantuan amounts, but enough to manipulate pressure, moisture, wind direction, etc.

Since this thread is still, kind of, alive, does anyone know of somewhere a person can go to develop their talents, such as this one?

o_O Outside?
Really, there's no "special" place to specifically hone weather-affecting magick. To begin with, just watch the weather channel. when there's a change, practice using magick to affect the weather in small ways, then start moving up the chain. Even if there's nothing going on, you can practice summoning breezes and winds, moving clouds in front of the sun (or away from the sun), etc.

Lol, thanks, actually I was talking in a general sense. For example I am mildly telekinetic (I would rather not claim it, personally) and empathic among other things and I thought it would be nice to find a place where people share and expand upon their talents.
I have read in a previous thread that you can find "circles" (?), but I wouldn't know where to start.

lol, I know how you feel. The minute you find out you're unique, people tend to flock around quickly and stamp out what they feel isn't "right". With telekinesis, people don't believe in it. That's okay. But many also feel it is their duty to make sure you don't believe in it, either. But that's off topic. :)
I'm also empathic, and I'm honing my clairvoyant ability. I've tried telekinesis, and learned that I'm pretty shitty at it. as for "circles", are you speaking of energy centers, or literal magick circles?

When I first began I tried telekinesis. I managed move a piece of paper after a cuatrillion tries. I gave up after that. I actually haven't tried my hand at a lot of the so-called talents since I first began. Eventually I will get into working with some of those but right now I'm honing in on the spiritual aspect. As far as places to share abilities/talents I've never even pondered this so I have no idea. Why not try and start one.

I really hate to bump threads but...
*regretfully gone on a long vacation at my parent's house*
By circles I mean like a support group of like minded people, and perhaps like gifted people.

Good idea...
Lately I have even been having dreams of telekenesis. It is easier in my dreams and has begun to frustrate me during the day (due to my lack of strength/experience).

I agree with the weather witch bit.... though I'm a scorpio. :) My moods, especially BAD moods, tend to affect the weather.
Interesting that you ask. :)
Have you managed to gather with like-minded people?
I agree that weather manipulation can be dangerous.... but it can also be a powerful tool.

Weather magic was what I first worked with. In fact, my first spell was a rain spell and it worked within 20 minutes. Mind you, after that and so I've heard from many others, it took me about 6 months after that of nothing but absolute failures to find my own way of doing things for success. It's my belief that when you first perform an act of magic willfully you unleash quite a bit of energy you've been holding back, then have to learn how to direct it. However, I digress.
I've had much success with weather magic, especially wind magic. Wind magic has become so simplistic and easy for me that I find it no more challenging than changing a traffic light or locating a lost object within 5 minutes.
Also, I am a libra just for the record. ;)

I don't know if I refered to the person who can touch the weather as another person or myself, I tend to be a bit shy about any strength I may have so I will refer to myself as another person at times...especially if I feel it may be too good to be true, but the weather today is odd again. I'm starting to like how it mirrors me or I emotionally predict it. It is a blue day. Clouds are everywhere and it looks like it will rain very soon but it doesn't feel like it. The light is all blue because of this. I like it. It matches my mood and situation again though. Last night I even thought about it. It was sunny yesterday with a few clouds and then I started feeling bad about three in the morning and thought 'just wait, watch the sky tomorrow'...
Yeah, whenever I feel a strong emotion, especially if I don't cry about it or can't seem to laugh enough. Whenever I can't express it myself. Heh...

For those of you who are interested (I saw a couple of people mention empathy) there is a thread called "empathetic bunker" started by Aldrick, where a bunch of those of us who are empathetic go to talk and post various things. Either look under threads started by Aldrick, or I think you can look in my recent posts if you are unable to find it in the just talk forum.
I'm looking for web pages on weather witchery.... not having much luck so far. :(
