I've been surfing the internet for probably a couple of months now trying to figure out which tarot deck would best suit me. There are a lot that have beautiful imagery and stuff, but I think The Sacred Circle deck probably has the best combination of traits. The other Deck I was really interested in Was Legend: The Authurain deck. If you have an opinion on either I ask that you please post it to help me make a decison. I'm also confused to why There are two differnt decks that are both Legend: The Arthurian deck and one is more expensive. Is one deck larger than the other or something?

I have the Sacred Circle deck and think it's a fine deck. The scenery is all Celtic and the book has very nice anecdotes about legends and magical places. I usually have good readings with it for myself, but not so much for other people...the readings don't make much sense to either them or me.
I love Legend: The Arthurian deck and saw it on ebay yesterday. I think it costs more b/c the book is over 300 pages, and it comes with a card spread layout. It looks like a breathtaking deck.

I had the Arturian deck and ended up trading it for the Sacred Circle deck with another Aclectic Tarot member. I couldn't get a good readings with the Arturian deck only because I'm familiar, but not knowledgeable about the legend. If I knew ALOT more about it, I'm sure I would have been fine with it. It is a beautiful deck.
I love my SC deck! It's beautiful! I can relate to the symbolizm alot better than I could with the Legend deck. :D
My vote: Sacred Circle Deck.

I found the Legend deck on Barnes and Noble's website. There were two decks that were called the same thing and by the same artist but the cases were different colors and had different pictures on the front. One was like 18 and the other was like 35 $'s. It says they both come out with the layout and i think maybe the book too. Thats y im confused becuase i cant figure out what makes teh one more expensive.

huh, I wouldn't think that the less expensive one comes with the big book, maybe just the LWB (little white book).

I have the Sacred Circle and a Traditional RW deck. I adore the imagery on the S.C. and when it is on for me its really on. However, I've found that this deck acts a bit 'fussy' if you get me. It feels a bit more tempermental and I really get the impression that it requires a bit more fussing over for it to really get down to business.
My Rider Waite is another I use alot...this deck just feel a bit wiser and doesnt seem to require the upkeep that the S.C. does. It seems as though its always ready to 'come out and play' and the readings are always pretty accurate although not nearly as in depth as the S.C. (when its feeling up to it of course! LOL)
Anyway now that I probaly sound like a complete loon I'll recommend the S.C....the book has alot of helpful stuff as well as a new spin on several cards, giving more ideas on individual cards. There's also brief descriptions for reversals in the book, unfortuantly I think that some of the reversal ideas are a bit too cut and dry for my tastes but it definatly gives you a taste of which direction to head in if you're using reversals.
Oh yeah one more note on the deck...its a bit large so if you like to shuffle 2-handed using a bridge (like in normal playing cards) it can be a bit rough. I have rather large hands for a woman and though they were a tad awkward at first I can now shuffle them easily (after getting a feel for them)
Overall I love the deck but tend to generally take it only when I feel very centered and 'on' if you get me....for the days that I cant get myself into the 'right' mindset I use my R.W.
Til next time,

I just realized today that the Sacred Circle Tarot has the same inicials as my name, so I'm gonna take that as a sign and go with that deck. BB, PR

Sacred Circle is a really beautiful deck, and especially nice if you have a really strong connection or interest in Celtic lore and symbology. If it "speaks" to you by all means indulge yourself..I doubt you'll be sorry...
