I need a festival buddy

There's a Pagan Pride festival coming in September, but there's one problem, I don't have any Pagan buds to go with! This would be my first Pagan festival and I don't want to go all by myself. My best friend is not Pagan, but she is not an avid church goer either. I think she's what you would call agnostic (not believing in God but doesn't dismiss the idea that there might be a God). ? Her mom goes to church every week, but other than that, they're not really religous. Is it okay to ask my friend to go with me? Keep in mind I'm desperate here.

as long as your buddy isn't the type of "agnostic" that mocks believers i'd say invite her, even if she doesn't, herself, believe in a god or gods she might enjoy it and learn something.

I agree with Socharis: it does depend on where you live if you are looking from someone on this board. :) I'll be going to the Pagan Pride festival in September as well, and I live in the province of Ontario in Canada.

From what I know of the tone of the PP festival that I'm going to, I don't think it would be a problem to bring a friend that isn't pagan. It would probably be a good idea to talk to your friend about it. There will probably be a few rituals (at least one main one, I'm guessing), and perhaps the media will be there (they will be at the one I'm going to). Making sure you and your friend know what will be going on will help you decide if you want to bring your friend or if she wants to go.
