all right, I'm just curious how many people actually celebrate every single "special" day they can. whatever their path is.

to celebrate as much as I can, but it's not always a formal ritual. sometimes it's just a quick thing, and other times it's a formal one. Depends on how much time I have. Ah, the trials and tribulations of being a mom! :)

That goes double for me!! :):):):):):)

I try and celebrate as often as possible and try to never miss an esbat. The sabbats are sometimes tricky, with the family nedding this and that. Like Ladystar said, if I can't get formal:( I still light a candle and do something divine. :):):):):)

Great topic though. It will be so interesting to see how people get in the celebrations or if they are like some of us with our wonderful bundles of blessing and joy!

there's a rituals forum lol? i still avnt got past the political pagan...

i do try and do as many rituals as poss, but sumtimes i really really just dont have the time :( when i do them tho, i tend to do big ones rather than little ones (if u know wot i mean..) kind ov to make up for all the ones i havnt done. i also try + apologise to the Lord + the Lady by lighting a candle or saying a prayer.

I think it depends on how you define "celebrate". I always acknowledge the special days, but I don't do any elaborate rituals.
For example....for midsummer, I went for a walk and collected wildflowers.... I sat under a tree and talked with the goddess and she led me to some wild raspberries. Then I went home, and put the flowers on my altar, lit my candles and said a prayer. Some times all I do is acknowledge it in my heart, and send a kiss to the moon..... does that count as celebrating?

I guess acknowledging it, and doing something, no matter how small is considered a ritual isn't it? and I guess I could have put this in the ritual's forum, but I thought I'd get more answers here, guess not.

I certainly don't celebrate as much as I'd like to. While I can now keep track of both Sabbats and Esbats without having them creep up on me (i.e. "you mean Imbolc is, like, tomorrow?!?!" ;)), I do not always do something celebratory. I have something called the "chicken wiccan" syndrome, so I have trouble getting up the nerve to do what I'd like to do. 8O I'm better with Sabbats than Esbats, but that's not actually saying much. *sigh*

I will be doing something for tonight's full moon, though. I've decided that I will finally be concecrating some of my altar tools (taken me 2-3 years with some of them... ;))
