Child's Bedtime Prayer

I love this chant, and I think it's great for kids growing up. It's much like the Christian version :D

Now I lay me down to rest,
I pray that all the world be blessed
Lady Moon and Sister Star
Watch over me from afar
Mother earth is always there
And keeps me safe within her care
The Lord of dreams will dance and sing
And happy dreams will to me bring
And when I wake to greet the day,
Brother Sun will light my way

I like it. when my daughter goes to sleep she some times puts her self in the mode to have night mares. I think this may put her in a better frame of mind for sleep thanks

I am glad to see that posted here. I came across it awhile back too. I say it to my daughter ever night. She likes the dancing part! It has also kept her out of my bed due to nightmares (well, most of the time).

Parent says over child, The deities can be changed to your paths (mother...perferably one deals with darkness/dreams ect, father ...protective, and gaurdian god/dess of children)
