How could I find some herbs and things? I am young and have no money. Does anyone have any ideas?

Was there something in particular that you're looking for? A lot of "weeds" are really just misplaced herbs. For example, stinging nettles grow everywhere & anywhere...in fields, parklands, your lawn. Nettles are excellent for all sorts of things such as a rinse for your hair, teas, & the young leaves are good lightly steamed as a vegetable.
Usually libraries will have plant books on your region/area. There are lots of wild herbs. But before you use them, make sure they really are what you think they are. NEVER use any wild herbs if you are not 100% sure about them.
Young pine needles are excellent as a tea & very high in vitamin C. It's the new growth that looks lighter than the rest of the tree. Young Dandelion leaves are good in salads. The roots, dried, will make a nice spring tonic to clean your liver of toxins.
Study the plants & weeds around your area. A good place to go for info is the local garden centre. If you're not sure about a plant, bring in a leaf or a bit to show them.
Also, I find that people don't mind sharing their plants. If you ask around, you might be able to find someone that will give you a cutting or two.

Forgot to mention, when you're wildcrafting (gathering herbs grown wild), bring along a little offering for the plants. It can be just a small bag of bird seeds to scatter around the plant or tree.

Hmmm! Yes! Any of the mints are good for digestion. The leaves will make a really nice tasting tea. You can make the tea using fresh leaves or dry the leaves for later use.

You might also try the cave outside your town...I forget the name of it off hand, but the climate might be different enough there to find things of interest. I would imagine that the Biodome might be helpful as well.

If your looking for herbs and things to craft spells with, many commonly used magic herbs are kitchen herbs and spices. i use cinnamon more at my altar than I do in my kitchen.
