I bought a beautiful potted jasmine. It's going to be big enough to transfer outside soon. I live in Central Kentucky ... So I'm wondering. Should I choose to do this? Or should I invest in a huge pot and just keep her inside and just let her trail around the downstairs of my townhouse?

I'm not sure Jasmine will live in the winter in KY, I would keep it in a pot so you can take it inside during the winter. There are many kinds of Jasmine though, but I think it is mainly a tropical plant.

Yes, try to keep her inside during the winter months. She'll like the hot and steamy summer months, though!
I live in New England and have trouble finding places that they really enjoy. My new library has finally given them a good home. My library branch is housed in an historic home, and so they sit in a large window just above and old radiator that gives off plenty of heat and steam.
Good luck!

Thanks guys! This is "night blooming" jasmine ~ has the tiny, narrow, long pointed leaves on it ~ if that makes a difference. I had considered a large, moveable pot to put her in; she's sooo happy on my desktop, and I know that she'll love the Summer's here. Will just have to keep her watered down along with everything else. I've lost I dont' knwo how many philodendron because I'd gotten too busy to take care of the stuff on the patio last Summer. :( Dont' want a repeat of that ~ stuff just "burnt" up in the drought. *ugh!*

If you are going to consider leaving him (sorry, couldn't resist) potted, be careful not to prune her (there are you happy?) much. Cutting promotes branching and it will grow, grow, grow... this will give you lots of blooms but it becomes hard to handle (like most women I guess).
Night Bloom Jessamine are only fragrant at night... cool.
Not assuming you do not know that, just throwing it in for other members who may not. :D
Good luck! She should make you very happy...

Okay, one more thing. How do I take care of this so that it doesn't die on me? I bought a $5 pot once and it died, so I dind't think that was such a huge loss, but this is like a $15 or $20 pot ... sooooooo, I want to keep it around for a while. :D

I had a beautiful vine of jasmine
she did great inside and almost as good outside that is until winter!!! it came up again in the spring the next year but was very weak, the next year she did not show up... I think it is best to keep her inside if you can!
