I received an e-mail from the editor of Sage Woman today - one of the articles I submitted is being excerpted in their upcoming Prayers and Invocation issue and they are asking for a bio to go with it...........

I'm still in shock! This is the first article I've submitted anywhere for publication and it's a tremendous boost for my very low confidence!

Freyja!!! this is soo exciting! I am soo happy for you *does happy dance*

With the new moon coming up--do you think it's time for another CEA effort? I see lots of threads with folks finding jobs and now this!

December 8 is the full moon we are in waxing mode right now...your thoughts?

Yes, it IS exciting! There's really no money involved, but it's a beginning. Zephrina pointed out that it makes it a lot easier to be published in the future. I have been really depressed and have had the flu on top of it all, so this made my day, week, month, year....

YES - another CEA would be awesome. I'm still looking for that perfect little job that provides some sort of paycheck. I want to be home with my sweetie and son, play with my clay, write and work with my families and pay the bills as well - is that really too much to ask? :T

Could things really be getting better? *holds breath*

Congratulations. I've seen Sage Woman at Borders.

Thanks! Around here, you're best off subscribing to it because not many stores carry it. I believe that Borders does but they sell out of them as soon as they get them.

Congratulations! I hope the work multiplies!

Thank you! Of course, so do I! I just wrote it and sent it - I think that writing the bio was almost harder than writing the article!

I also submitted another for their spring issue, which they are also considering. I don't think I'll hear anything on that one until April. I've been waiting for three or four months on this one and had decided to just forget about it and not stress. So it was definitely a very nice surprise!

I'm so happy for you my dear friend! This is just wonderful. :boing:

The CEA is working it's magick all around this place and I'm starting to think that a weekly working is in order now!

This is a beginning of just truly wonderful things to come for you. :hugz:

Yes, it is! I'm so happy to see all of the people who've gotten jobs! LOL, I'm still deficient in that area. Desert Yaqui has suggested another for Full Moon - and I really need some paying work!

Again, even though this doesn't involve money it's given me much more than that - the confidence that I so badly need. Can't put a price on that.

That's great - congratulations! Make sure to let us know which issue it's in!

OK, here's a bio for you to use:

Freyja has accumulated much ancient wisdom throughout her many incarnations on this planet. Over the years, she has been Nefertiti, Mary Antoinette, Boudicca, and Judy Garland, just to name a few. Although she has never been published on the temporal plane before, she has written countless articles for publications on the astral plane, and has been hailed by critics in languages far too complex for mortal ears. She has been informed by numerous seers and psychics that she is to be the most celebrated writer of the 21st century. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and playing with her cats.

Freyja, there's no shame in feeling great about yourself--Hey, I'm not published, but would love to be! hmm... maybe the secret for you here is to "...just forget about it and not stress..." YOUR words, sweetie! I still have the faith in you and your venture! I'll get back with you on this CEA act soon... Today is gonna be busy with laundry and tarot readings--stuff like that. Oh and I like BenT's bio.. Very cute!

Congrats!!! I'll be sure to read it when it comes out...

Hi Kadynas, the CEA (the Collective Energy Act) is a goofy coined term I came up for a group effort that Freyja put together a couple of weeks ago. There were several of us who raised some positive energy for prosperity and for those seeking employment. Already I have seen several threads with folks who have found jobs recently--and I think that's terrific! You are most welcome to join us at our next meeting! Maybe some of the recent prosperity recipients can be encouraged to join us and share some of that joy... Just a hope!

:floating: I woke up this morning and checked my e-mail again to make sure I hadn't dreamed it.

Ben, I LOVE that bio - last night Flar suggested "a lone voice among the savages"........did you read my profile about the yoga and cats or was that intuition? ;) Just tried to give you karma, it won't let me.......thanks for the giggle!

Memnoch - in my own little struggle, I found that online sources such as that DO count as credit - congratulations! I'll be off to read that poem in a few. I've submitted one of mine to Circle Magazine and hope that they will publish it in their Spring issue. They asked for more info when I submitted it, so it looks good.

DY - you're still one of my best cheerleaders and of course, my muse! May the Full Moon bring to full fruition all that has begun at new moon......

And big hugs to everyone else! I'll let you all know exactly which issue it will be running in.

:hugz: Thanks so much! Here's a link to their site. There are several sample articles posted there. The same company also publishes Pan Gaia and New Witch - all good magazines. Since they're quarterlies, the subscriptions are kind of expensive but well worth it. They are all very hard to find where I live.

I did a series of collages and one seems relevant for everyone who struggles with confidence and money issues (i.e. women) You can check out my collage, "What Are You Worth" at:

http://www.cyquest.com/artgallery/bw_worth.html

I did this under the name, BlueWorld. I also have more collages there. Just click on "Back to Art Gallery" and then scroll down to my stuff. Let me know what you think. I've got a thread about it in the Arts and Crafts here or PM me.

Thanks so much, and I'm on my way to check it out. BTW, the pen name I've chosen is Parthena Black. She is my great-great grandmother - I never knew her and only found out about her in my geneology search for Indian heritage.

It's not letting me give any more karma - but thanks to all of you for the congrats! Your support means so much.
