Can anyone here interpret dreams?
Had a real scare last night, thought these sort of dreams finished when i was a kid!
Had been asleep about half an hour, when i dreamt that this monster/man jumped out of my wardrode and was about to pounce on me! HGe was real evil.
Woke up gripping the duvet right over my head, heart thumping and sweating with fear - it seemed so REAL!

It took me ages to calm down and now can't get it out of my mind - and it's nearly bedtime again!

I'm not particularly frightened of anything at the moment, only the usual problems i've had for a while.

Any thoughts please?

I can't interrpret dreams, but I could think of a suggestion, like alot of stress lately? I don't normally get dreams like that anymore (age 15 now) but sometimes when I'm really stressed, or anxious, I'll have a short dream of falling, or something jumping out at me like that, just a thought.

Hmmm..... lets see what I can remember about dream interpetation. Not that I remember much **g** but I'll give it a shot.
Has a new situation presented itself that you are not ready to deal with? That could explain the monster/man jumping out and you reacting in fear. Or as Faolan put it , it could be stress or anxiety of a situation.
Sorry that I wasn't alot of help but I tried. **g**

Many thanks for your thoughts.

I've got a bit of stress at the moment, but not nearly as bad as I've had in recent years, so not sure that it's that. On the whole, my life is picking up now.

Maybe there was no reason behind it? Not even watched any scary movies lately, haha.

About the same time last night, i dreamt that a cousin's wife died. As far as i know, she's fit and healthy, in her 30's.

All i can think is that somethings on my mind that i'm not aware of, or that i'm closing my eyes to. Time will tell.

Thanks again.

Scary stuff!

I gotta agree with the new situation that's crept on you or too much stress theories.

I have tornado dreams quite frequently and only recently found myself prevailing - either I decide the tornado isn't coming my way and it doesn't, or I go for cover in time. I find usually scary things represent a person, thing, or feeling that's got you worried and/or stressed out. Somewhere I read the two most common themes in dreams are the same as in life - stress and joy. :)

don't seem to have many joyful dreams, and when i do they usually end at a crucial point - very frustrating! haha

Most of my dreams are so mixed up and crazy, or just plain silly, i don't think anyone could make any sense of them!

One thing i do love though, is that after we've had a death in the family (been quite a few in recent years) i dream about that person after the initial pain has worn off a bit, and it's always such a lovely dream and so comforting. Most of them have suffered great pain before going home, but in my dreams they're happy and laughing, and WELL!
