Well..... here goes.... i am 10 weeks pregnant with #2! Reason why i was needing time off is because i was considering abortion, as i am only 16 and already have a 17 month old daughter, but i've made my mind up that i'm keeping this precious gift.
My estimated due date is June 29th (my daughters 2nd birthday is July 6th) heh, lucky me!

FGM...
I think you're doing the right thing. I'm Pro-Choice, but after having an abortion last January I know first hand the depression it can cause. You'll do fine. You seem like a well adjusted lady. I hope all goes well with you, dearie...
Blessed Be to your little appleseed and you!

Thanks hon!
I know, i would have regreted abortion & i am prone to depression, i've had many bouts of that horrible thing. And to know my boyfriend is extremley happy i'm keeping it makes me even more happy.
Thanks again

Hey you, share some of that fertility with me! :huddle: Congrats on the upcoming bundle! And as a young mom (I was 19 when my son was born) I know how hard it can be and how fast you've had to grow up. If you ever want to talk, you know I'm here for you.

Congrats, FGM! I too am pro-choice, but as a man, think that decision should totally be left up to the woman.
I very much so respect your decision to keep your baby. I think that is the best route, especially since your boyfriend is thrilled about it!
I had a very good friend of mine who had her little girl when she was just 15 (preggers at fourteen) and she has done just fine. Her girl is now, I think, around 16 or so.
Many happy blessings to you, your child and the one to be! Also to your boyfriend!

Congrats, FGM.

Um, not to make anyone feel bad, but depression is pretty common after having a baby as well. It's called the baby blues, or postpartum depression. In both cases it is caused by fluctuating hormones as well as dealing with your choice, whichever it was. I'm glad you're happy with your choice, FGM.

Congratulations FGM!! It'll all work out for you, as a mother of 3 by the time I was 19, I know how hard it is to raise babies when you're still a baby! The best thing about it is that when they're all grown up, you still have lots of life ahead of you! Have a safe and happy pregnancy Babe!

Yep i know, but with a baby i know i won't regret it, where as if i'd have had an abortion, that would have been hell for me. I know theres risks of depressions and PPD after birth, but to me it's a hell of a lot more easier to deal with, and there seems to be more ppl willing to help, you know?

Thanks for the congrats :)

I was just barely seventeen when the first was born, then popped out the other 2 13 months apart! I'm 42 now and they're 24, 23, and 22, and I have 2 beautiful grandaughters aged almost 3 and 8 weeks!
