View Full Version : strange thoughts that come to mind in the middle of the night

ok, two questions, the first is easy. When I look at numbers, usually 1-20, I feel distinctive masculine and feminine, like 1-m, 2-m 3-m 4-f 5-m 6-f 7-m 8-f 9-m 10-m 11-m 12-m 13-m 14-f 15-m 16-f 17-m 18-f 19-m 20-m I don't understan why most seem masculine, so it can't be even-feminine while odd-masculine. Does anyone else have these feelings? I've had them since I was little, also I just had a theory that I want you guys to observe and give me your opinions please.
Alright, in a book I'm reading it says:
"the apple came to be known as the Fruit of the Gods. When cut in two across the width, an apple displays 5 seeds embedded within a five-pointed star -- symbolic of the gods unified under cover of one."
now, I used to be christian, and in the bible, it says that Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, and what she ate was an apple. Could it be that the reason that god did not want them to eat the apple, was because they would become aware of other gods who are also apart of the world? And it also says that god was jealous of other gods, I don't really remember it saying that other gods didn't exist, just that god didn't want 'his people' worshipping them.
Just a strange thought I had... any ideas on where this might of come from? it just popped into my head...

Well the numbers thing must have some significance. Pherhaps at those years with the feminine sign you will embark on something, or did do something that was of some importance. Ask around and see the results your parents give u at those years.
The christian thing sounds funny. I can just picture god gasping at the site of his beautiful creatures being not so beautiful. "I hate Athena she stubbed my toe" HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA No really you make a good point.

in regards to the number thing, i *SO* know wot u mean!!!! but it's more simple with me, i usually think of odds ad masculine, evens as feminine, BTU i also do it with other things.....left is feminine, right is masculine, black is masculine, whoite is feminine....i've always had these feelings since primary school!!!!
glad 2 no sum1 else is as mad as me :D

c'mon! I've seen tons of people looking at this but not many are posting, please everyone, I'd really LOVE some feedback on this, cause I'm a bit scared, it just suddenly popped into my head the other night, and I've never seen that happen before

I wouldn't let yourself get too freaked out about 'random thoughts' popping up in your head. I think you should maybe meditate on it. It may lead you to a whole new understanding of something. I do it every once in awhile. I call them 'epiphanies'. I have them about lots of different things.

...are a funny thing with me. I had both eyes patched shut in my early teens. Since then, I have counted everything.
There were 14 stairs to the 2nd floor of the house.
15 stairs to the new apartment.
It took about 127 steps to get to the Accounting department at my old job.
And it was 279 paces to the Embacadaro from my hotel in San Francisco.
Masculine or Feminine, I do not know. And yes, I have 10 toes and fingers - I have counted them.
The point on the apple was clever.

Good thoughts from all. :D:D My number things are that every time I look at the clock, it's 11:11. Also, 50 always seems like a younger number than 60, and 5 older than 6. I have no clue why.

I don't know why but I also count things. But the most strange thing about numbers and me is everything happens to me in 3's. I have 3 children that were born 3 years and 3 months apart (not planned). It's the oddest thing. Lots of things work that way with me. I still haven't 'gotten' it (ie. figured out what the deal is) but I'm still looking.

The passage in Genesis that you reference..is that Adam and Eve were not to eat of the Tree of Life, because they would then attain the knowledge that God possessed (good and evil), not knowledge of other gods.
As far as the other question, the Bible implies that all other gods are "false" gods, and there is only one "true" God.

Your thoughts are yours and we appreciate you sharing them. Worry not about offending at this point. We are rather open minded here on the porch.
Blessings to you,

I wish I could! :D:D I have no idea. I think maybe because fifty seems like this kinda round, stodgy old number, while a six is more svelte, cuter, almost, and thus, younger.
I'm weird. I know.

thanks RnR, I'm glad to know that everyone here is open minded, I remember places where I've had to *censor* my thoughts...

Hmmm...
While I've never specifically assighned masculine or feminine traits to any numbers...perhaps if you studied numerology, you might find a link between the qualities of those numbers, and some gender types? For instance..I would have thought the numeral 1 to be feminine in quality...since it is a number associated with beginnings and creativity. (motherhood?) I don't know if you've studied Numerology at all..but it might be something worth looking into for you!
As for your other random thought...Nice one. I don't think it's odd at all. An interesting deduction I myself have somewhat wondered. But..a previous post was correct, in christian theology, the danger of them eating the apple (which, I was told once in College, was actually a pomegranate though I don't think there was an eyewitness account of this heheh) was that they would have all of the knowledge that God himself had. His reasons for not wanting them, then, to eat the apple, I suppose were the same as his wanting to destroy the tower of Babel.
I have very odd thoughts at night too, btw. But..i usually cannot recall them in the morning.

Interesting Thing about the numbers, I do color association myself. Like, rather than different genders, each number/letter/word/person is a different color. Each of my friends is a different color in my head, and who knows why? Don't worry about things popping into your head. It's pretty cool, really. Things just pop up, and you have to see what you can do with them. some people call it inspiration. :) Interesting thought about the apple thing.

I always thought of 1 as masculine (sun) and 2 as feminine (moon). This is because 1 is the beginning and from where all numbers start, as the east is where the sun rises and east is sometimes believed to be where all things begin. This discludes 0 because I think of it as the void (although technically it shouldn't be, because 0 is a value, and null is the absence of value and thus void; this all comes from computer programming and geeky thought tho. I don't pretend to understand my own understandings hehe)
As far as colours... I see them in terms of colours too but it's more of an aura thing, they can be more then one shade or colour and it depends on their mood and mine. For instance I have one friend who usually I consider dark green but when he's tapping into Dragon energy I see him as red. My fiance is blue except when he gets his hackles up and at the point I consider him a strong red colour.

wow, you guys are great thanks, I'll have to check into the numerology thing, do you have any recommondations of good books that I could read? I didn't ever really like numbers (math teachers ...*shiver*) so I never really thought of looking into numerology, but I guess I should if I wanna "expand my horizons" huh? all the responses are great, thanks everyone!

hehe I'd agree with that... masculinity is odd... :p
When I have strange thoughts in the night they usually involve me dreaming in HTML or hex or binary... Gah!
