Congratulations on the new deck! They are beautiful cards. I had them up until about a month ago. I traded them for the Sacred Circle deck on another board because I just couldn't connect with them. :(

If you will be looking for guinea pigs <victims>, check out the thread titled "Victim List" kept near the top in this forum. Everyone listed has graciously volunteered for us to "Practice" on! (Thank you Volunteers!)

"Hoka-hey heya" is formal greeting amongst many native American cultures. As "Aloha" means Hello, Hi, Good bye or, Until we meet again, so means this saying. Some Shaman use it to say Greetings to you or, Until we meet again (it also displays great trust and friendship).

Hoka-hey heya, wakan kolya. Nomahon yello lila wakan (common to native American pray) translates to "Greetings great spirit. Hear me, the elders (the spirits), as I speak". Something like that.

Hoka-hey Heya (until again),
RnR

btw - really love the cards. I am willing to be your first GP when you feel comfortable with them. 't would be an honor.

I used that deck until I read Mists of Avalon by MZB, at which point the cards and I got confused (that book shatters some common beliefs about Arthurian mythology).

Now I use the Faerie Oracle and Unicorn Tarot decks.

Woohoo!!!! :D:D Congrats Rae!!!
They are an absolutely beautiful deck!!

Did you ever have any luck with the Celtic Tree Oracle?(at least, if I remember correctly it was you:):):))
I finally seen them last night! WoW! The owner of the deck is just starting to read with them. He has not found it too bad. I mentioned that someone online I knew had mentioned that they read like "stereo" instructions(he giggled) but he said that he could understand where you were coming from on that description.:)
Anyway, he said that he has had the best luck just trying to learn the cards, reading the book along with those cards.
The spread is (eek, I can't totally remember) I think it is four rows of five cards. One represents past, then another represents present, and another represents future and the other one(sorry, i can't quite remember all of it) But I will see him again in 2 weeks and I'll bug him some more! :):):):):)he is a great guy!

BB
and
Congrats on a beautiful purchase! :):):)

Actually, I haven't really even looked at them since I tried that first time...the Arthurian deck however seems to be speaking volumes to me, so I think I'm going to stick with that for awhile!

Cool! Well I've had lots of practise over the past couple of days...every one I know wants to be a guinea pig!! :D When I'm feeling a little more comfortable (and practise on my MW resident guinea pig some more...eh, Dria? ;)) I'll draw a card or two for you okay?
