spell to rid an old acquaintance from the past

HELP !! PLEASE !! How can I without any recourse get rid of an ex- friend from the past . This person came into the family and was like family,but at the end turned out to be very self centered.
and even tried to turn my own family members against my own sister so she could be the top dog. She now is coming around to my brother who has just had a lovely little girl and trying to get in the fold again . I do not trust this person & I feel like she wishes us ill .(sorry if this sounds corny ,but my gut instincts about her are always right ) Truthfully I don't want her calling any of us again. (noone wants to change their phone #'s)
One friend who is native american recommended I burn Cedar &sweetgrass around both houses . What do you all recommend ?HELPPPPPPPPPPP

Once when I was just learning I did a spell to keep an ex out of my life. My motivation wasn't good - basically I was young, ticked off, and had a really jealous new boyfriend. I chanted something about never having this person in my life again and cut up a picture I had of him. I've seen him (in a restaurant, accidentally, and was in so much shock I couldn't speak to him and had to leave) once since then, and that was 3 and 1/2 years ago. Now I wish I could apologize to him and probably never will thanks to that little spell!

Here is a ritual to bind someone from hurting you mentally or emotionally. I am sure you can adjust it to fit your specific needs...

And also, a word of warning, this is a rather advanced form of magic, if you haven't done this type of workings before I must suggest that you DON'T do this ritual. Always consider the consequenses a binding will have.

Open the circle

Call the elements

Concentrate on the person you wish to bind. Place something from this person (hair, fingernails, or perhaps just a picture or a symbol him/her) in a little doll made of fabric and sow it together.

Take a black ribbon and tie it around the dolls head and say something like this (or something that will fit your specific needs):

Without anyone getting hurt, my wish be done,
I bind you [name]
Your words cannot hurt me
Your thoughts cannot hurt me
You cannot hurt me.

Keep on chanting this until you feel a power raising within yourself. Visualize the person being unable to hurt you with his/her words, thoughts or acts, not verbally not mentally in any way...

If you have a witchname or a sigill write it on a piece of paper, add a drop of blood over your signature.

Fold it, and burn it in a cauldron or something like that...

Meditate on the flames until the paper has stopped burning...

Grounding

Open the circle, thank the elements, yourself and the power...

Throw the doll far away from you within the next few days....

Again, this is an advanced form of magic, and I don't suggest you try it if you are not fully sure on every aspect of the ritual. A binding can be undone, but it is better if it was never done in the first place, so if you feel the least bit insecure about doing this sort of thing, DON'T do it!
