Welcome to MysticWicks! :)
There are tons of people here who are friendly and wise and will be happy to help ya out. If you post an intro on the "Just Talk" board lots of people will introduce themselves and welcome you :)

Well your Book of Shadows is very personal; you can pretty much put whatever you want in it.

Usually people put correspondences (like directions, elements, colours, days of the week, moon phases), spells, rituals, and stuff they learn about faeries, dragons, meditation, astral travel, dreams, and any other Pagan stuff they do in their Book of Shadows.

You can start it in a spiral notebook, a binder, or a black leather bound book if you like. You can stick flowers on it, draw pictures, or use stickers.

An important thing to remember is to be careful with your Book of Shadows - never lend it out to people you don't trust and know well, lest you lose it!

If you do a search on Yahoo! etc. you'll find some more ideas :)

A good idea is to have two. A grimoire and a book of shadows. This is what I do.
In my Book of shadows I keep personal info to me, dream diary, magick diary, and ritual diary. I also keep maybe a record of meditations I do, or how I feel about something...anything that is personal to me.
And in the Grimoire you keep general information, spells, rituals, recipes, Patheon info...or whatever.
What's important is if you are not sure that everything you write is set in stone, and if you are just writing your first BOS, I suggest using a binder and loose leaf paper. Once you start, you'll realize why.

Hiya (Like the name. Read 'Dancing With Dragons' yet?)

I honestly don't really keep a B.O.S. or a grimore. It's a pain for me, because I simply must keep everything organized, and since I'm always getting new info....

I have a little book I write things in when I know I won't have complete access to that information. I.E. none of the information in the books I own will be put in my little "pocket book".
