The ceiling in our kitchen has several leaks in it. Some of which are leaking from near our light fixtures and stuff. It has been a problem 4 a while, (minimal leakage i mean). Not this bad. Came back from Phills parents today and saw how bad its got.
So gonna be camped out until council have sorted it out:)( figuratively speaking that is.

I have a little time so i shall tell more about it.
We have had a leak in the wall behind the sink for a while. When i moved in there were water erosion marks on the top of said wall. They fobbed me off with some stuff on a leaky bathroom pipe. ( I now know it was more than that:(). Well, since about April the leak and the plaster started to get wet again. It has been ever since. I have been down to the council as much as i could to sort it out, but nothing has been done yet. It has been gradually getting worse since. We came home from Sunday dinners at my partners parents and when we saw the kitchen i had to hold my breath. I was shocked.
The ceiling had lines of water marks over the ceiling( there were none when we went out.) There are at least 3 more leaks in other parts of the ceiling. The main leak has gotten really bad too. :( :(
So , there. Might not be around for a couple of days. Depends how long it takes to sort it out really and what needs doing:(

Sweetie, it sounds like you have a problem that's been around for awhile...
From the sound of it, i'm suprised the ceiling hasn't given way before now.
Also, with leaks and dampness, you have to remember that mold spores can make you fatally ill.
Hope it can be fixed without putting you out of home for a very long time.

Well it didn't take as much time as i thought for the council to arrange a start on doing something about it. Shame it had to get this bad before they did.We went down there this morning, they are sending out an electrician to make sure all the wiring is still safe. They are also sending out an inspector to have a look and decide what needs doing...Great you say..
Well, when they say inspector they mean a guy in a suit who comes to verify what you are saying is true. Which means nothing will get done till later this week most likely. Like i don't have stuff to do for Yulemas:(I still hae shopping and all sorts to do.)

hmmphh.......this sucks. I hate the council. I know they are trying there best now, but they let it get this bad in the first place. There were no records on their files of my previous complaints( how convenient).lTo be honest I am going to be surprised if this gets fixed b4 yulemas. I can't even use the kitchen sink anymore. It is covered in gunk and plaster.

awwww...
Well at least they are getting something done that more than likely would never pass a health inspection.
Hope they get it fixed soon...
*wondering if any pipes busted from freezing while you were gone*

I wish i could. My digital camera is broken at the mo. And i have no film. We do have health inspectors yes. However , they take even more time to see. U have to make an appointment and they are usually booked up 2 weeks in advance,i know. I had to get one out to my old flat.
