The cancer returns

I just got off the phone with my sister and she says her last test showed the cancer cells have returned. So having a hysterectomy and a few months of chemo weren't enough to bust this stage three ovarian cancer out of her system. She wants me to surf the net for clinical drug trials and then she can check with the doctor about getting signed up for one of them. Please send energy for the search to turn up something that would help her, and for her to stay as positive as possible, that's half the battle with this kind of disease. Any helpful energy would be so very much appreciated.

Thank you all. It seems like only a little while ago that we lost our mother to cancer which probably also started in the ovaries and spread. The doctors couldn't diagnose it until it spread to her brain and caused paralysis on one side of her face. But it was really just over 5 years ago. NOT something I find I can deal with very well for the second time though. Of all the sibs in the family, she and I were always closest.

Bad news - my sister called and the cat scan shows several small tumors. The cancer is back. And it's ovarian cancer, the one that's hardest to cure. She knows this is a death sentence, she just hopes that drug and chemo therapies will grant her a stay of execution. Our mother died of cancer just five years ago. I know that those memories are still quite vivid for my sister.

I am bringing this over here from Lunacie's thread in Just Talk. I hope we can send her and her sister some energy to help keep them going in facing the tough times ahead.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been through so much,Lunacie!! Losing your mom the way you did was because she had a lousy doctor ( I'm appalled he didn't detect it sooner!!)Or that's how it sounds to me...paralisys???!!!

She had several bad, or maybe incompetent doctors. She was sick for over a year. One diagnosis was that she had an inner ear infection. That's because the cancer had spread from her abdomen to her brain and was putting pressure on the point that eventually caused her Bell's Palsey (the paralysis on one side of the face). She looked like she'd had a stroke. Even then the cat scans and other tests kept missing the tumor because it was just a bit lower than they kept looking. Kinda hard not to be bitter about the cancer not being found sooner, but nothing can be done about it now.

Thank you all for the well-wishes and energies for my sister. I will share them with her.

WOO HOO !!! With the help of everyone who sent energy and the chemotherapy my sister's cancer is now in remission. Thank you all so much for your help. All we can do now is to hope it lasts longer than last time, eh? So any energy sent for the cancer to stay in remission (or go completely away) would be wonderfully appreciated. **big sigh of relief**

I'm helping her shop for a new car, she went back to work at the salon with her old friends, and is thinking about moving to Arkansas to live near her family there. I know, Arkansas, ick.
