On the Fourth, I was helping a friend at his firework stand. A family - too large to fit into one car - arrived like a small army to buy some fiery treats.

Sadly, though, one of the cars broke down in the parking lot and they were unable to fix it.

The Dad left with a couple of friends (to get some parts or something) and left his wife and three small childeren behind.

Well, a couple of hours went by and they were still sitting across the street in some shade. The three youngs one were playing and I realized that it was very hot and they might like to have some water.

We had a fridge at the stand and I had loaded it with water. I grabbed four bottles and offered the water to them. The three little ones began drinking immediately and finished the water in one sitting.

I took them another round and they were very greatfull. When the Dad return, he approached me, shook my hand, and gave me a very warm thank you. :D

I felt great the rest of day.

Any good deeds you would like to share? :)

Well... no good deeds to mention, but an interesting story.

I had decided to take the kids to pick up some fireworks for the Independence Day celebration in our community that evening.

When we were leaving the stand, as luck would have it, our car broke down and we were forced to leave the kids behind while a couple of friends and I went for parts...

...lol, sorry RnR... couldn't resist.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday!

I came close...

Last week when I got off the train going to work, a kid about 13 or 14 asked me for food. It was just pouring rain! I didn't have anything to give him. There was a supermarket nearby. I went there & picked up some buns & couple cartons of apple juice. When I got back, the kid was gone. I've been looking for him at the station each morning but he hasn't been back. I hope he's ok. :(
