There are many times of dreams.
Prophetic Dreams
Warning Dreams
ESP Dreams
Out-Of-Body Experiences
Survival Dreams
Reincarnation Dreams
We'll start with Prophetic Dreams starting Dec. 17 2003 see if we can't cover it pretty good and I'll post the next in Jan.
Any comments are welcome.............
Prophetic dreams are dreams in which future events are foreseen or foretold. May range from involving entire peoples or the world to minor concerns of individuals pertaining to their own future or that of a friend or relative. The message is clear, precise and sufficiently detailed. There is no symbolism it is seen as it will happen.

I'll start it off. I myself have had prophetic dreams, some containing to many people but I feel it has not occured yet because I still get the same dream every so many months. I actually don't know a date in time but it is very detailed in what everything looks like. Each time I have the dream I remember a little more. Then I have also had prophectic dreams of a person, I don't believe this to be a warning dream because there's nothing I can do to stop it from happening and they do happen. Usually a week maybe two after having the vision.

I've also read books by Syliva Browne. I've been researching this stuff for quite a while now. I first become a SEER when I was 11-12 years old and it scared the heck out of me. I hid from it and prayed it would go away but then when I started High School I got interested in the brain how it worked, psychology and started researching dreams and I tell you the books really helped me. I'm not fond of prophetic dreams though because I can't do anything about it.

Well, thanks for inviting me to your thread, Autumn Clair. I have just recently opened up about this, since I don't talk about it very much for fear of sounding crazy to most people.
My prophetic dreams are not always like films of the events that happen. Usually they're more symbolic, containing truths that eventually happen fairly soon after my dream. After I have one, I wake up knowing what will happen - very clearly knowing (as in, so-and-so will be pregnant, or be very sick, etc.). Usually the dreams are about people I know, but not always. My first dream like this occurred many years ago when I was about ten years old, involving an entire school bus of kids being kidnapped at gunpoint. It was so odd that I told my mom. She dismissed it until a week later when something almost exactly like it appeared on the news. Now she often asks me, "Have you had any dreams about this?"
I don't think they're a great blessing - they're hard to live with, and it's often hard to figure out what to do with their knowledge once I have it.

It sound to me that you've taped into a type of ESP psychic dream called simultanous dreams where you tune in on an event going on. Called a transfer of energy. That sounds cool............ though I think the bus one is prophectic maybe there is some type of symbolic prophectic dream.............
And opinion or anyone read up on it?

I havent read up on that one yet....
But from what i have read so far on profhetic Dreams is that The Ones where something was ment to be done there will be enogh detail in the dream for you to know what to do how to intersept ...
but the ones that unfold with no tellings of anything that can be done then nothing is ment to be done ..
See i read also in sylivas book that everyone charts out there journeys befor they enter the body ,, and when we dream travel we are getting out of this stuffy body that houses our souls ,,, and that we have also charted out five exits from this sate of being ,,
I wish i could get ahold of Syliva Browne and ask her (((if i charted out my journey ,,, why did i chart out myself such a hard life , of being abused mentaly and physicaly.. from 3 yrs old)))))) or was that just a added bonus to aide me in learnings ,,, ... would really love to know what she would tell me on that one...
I do from what i read beleive those who are gifted to have Dreams of future events and even past lifes are special and have the gift for a reason ...
Most of my Dreams seems to be about houses ,, water ,, animals ,,,
I think alot of my Dreams are helping me deal with things going on In the Inner me and are release dreams ,, oh i have lots of "Wish"dreams to .... dreams where i am in Situations or with people i wish to be in or with ,, but am not so i dream i am ??
The Dream where i had energy coming out of my finger tip my daughter was in that dream ,, she knows of my path and at on point was going to learn things with me ,, she was really into mind dominance though and astral travel... she all in Love and up this boys behind know ,,
so i dont push her i know she young 16 and in Love i was there once and if when she ready to learn more i will be here and ready for her ,, I told her of my Dream work lately and I am in VA she is in Ohio ,,,
but i call her all the time i have free long distance on my cell.... i just told her last night of some stuff but 4 got to tell her of this dream a had she was in where i had evergy coming out of my finer tip and was so proud to show her ...
I told her about the book i am reading on astral travel in your dreams she say cool ,, but still not interested in knowing more yet ....
Oh well i told her she better get on line check her mail befor i dream travel to ohio and kick her butt ,,, she laughs at me ,, i said you got till new yrs girlie ,,, she says MOM i will read befor new yrs ,k, ......
She is a great daughter loves me as i am no matter what i am into and accpets me as i am and i will her to ,,,Her my best friend she can tell meanything and I her ...
She probley truly beleives i would show up in a dream if she dont check her mail soon ,,,:),,,
if i happen to be in one of her dreams in the next couple nights she going to be calling me asking me if i had same dream ,,,,,,:) And saying "MOM".....
Anyways ,,, i am heading back to the couch ,,,, I will be on later this evening after the boys hit the hay..... TTFN for now .. till then .......
Blessed Be ,,Merry Part

Interesting, Lamoondove! I don't think I've ever shared the same dream with anyone.
I'm not sure how to classify the dreams I described, Autumn Clair, but have not really studied types of dreams as much as you have so don't have a more precise language for labelling them. To me, all prophesy is something that reveals truth, so whether it's through symbols or sight into the actual event as it will transpire, if it reveals knowledge (that is generally hidden) to someone, then it's prophesy (but that's just my opinion)... I do have books on symbols, and also dream symbols in particular, but they're mainly to help me jog my thinking process when analyzing dreams I don't understand initially. Because dreams are so deeply personal, and to some degree we all create our own sets of symbols and attachments, I think other people can help us with their meanings, but it's truly up to each of us to discover their meanings. I hope that makes sense.

I tried using symbolism with dreams and to me it just didn't fit. Or Freud's theory. I believe each persons dream has it's own meaning to that person they can't be lumped into a group of people.
I just like to break the dreams up into the six psychic groups so I know what I'm dealing with and go from there. Of course not all dreams have a psychic meaning but I can pick them out pretty good for me. But your's that you talked about made me think of two of the psychic dreams it could be. So, this is a nice place to get a better idea on what falls under what and get feedback. I thought we'd keep the prophetic one going up until Jan then switch to warning dreams. I have more experience with that one being it relates to present danger and people close to us. So, any input on prophetic dreams will even help me.......
Love the HOOT Banner, where can I get one for me I'm a Leo I Don't think one could be made for SEER.

I'll be interested to read along to see where you take this - not sure how much I can add, but will jump in if any ideas strike.
CloakofStars9 did a fantastic job on my banner - you can go here to ask her for one:
http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=38938&page=8
PM her with what you want. As for the SEER, if you can describe the images, colors, etc. that you associate with it, I would bet CoS could put it together, with Autumn Clair on it, too, because she's shockingly talented!

I thought I'd do this a little different. Lets talk about all of them. The six types together it's hard to just stay on one. We can Discuss one we have questions with, or tell about a dream and Type it if you know which Psychic type it is or ask if you don't. I think we'll get more responses this way for a discussion.
How's that sound. So fire away.
Prophetic:in which future events are foreseen or foretold.
Warning: in which future events are depicted in such a way that one can alter the results.
ESP: containg telepathic material frequently of simultaneous events or retroncognitive material such as psychometric dreams in which events from the past unknown to the dreamer are experienced.
Out of Body: in which the dreamer or rather his inner astral body leaves the pysical shell and travels to events or places external to the personality.
Survival: indating communications with the worls beyond or with discarnate individuals.
Reincarnation: in which experiences from other lifetimes are relived or memories realized which are not known to the dreamer in his/her conscious state.

Reincarnation:
I believe this dream I had was another past life of mine. I had it just last night. I was fighting in a war, everything was so clear the people, clothes the surrounding. We were being bombed, sometype of building like a headquaters. My sergant was a traitor, he was just killed and I was looking though his things. He had a notebook, three books with poetry, I saw the pictures on the covers but could not read the writing. Korean,Chinese, I know Japanese, It didn't fit. When I was looking through his notes I came across a page that had 4/190 days and I didn't make the year out all the way something 66. At this point I realize the importance of the dream and started my dream control. I told myself this is important and started repeating what I saw 4 I thought 4 was for Jan, Feb, March, APRIL it was April so 4 is April 190 days screwed me up I saw the day 10 15 but I kept thinking about the 190 days what did it mean then the year 66 why can't I see the full year it could be future but I wouldn't be going to war I was psysically involved in this war which led me to reincarnation so it was 66 but what I started thinking 1966 1866, Korean, Chinese, remember to search the computer for wars in those times in those countries. Fast forward to the Safe. After finding this information in the sergants things I when into several rooms trying to get away from people chasing me now I find the safe I open it and they held me at gun put. I pulled out a square container holding what looks the dominoe blocks They look orange and when you turn them over too look at them I see symbols and numbers written on each one like a code. Sorry that's all I got I was killed before I could figure out the code.

The distinction between prophecy and prediction.
Prophecy as pertaining to major issues, worldwide situations and prominent individuals.
Predictions might apply to anyone.
The message is clear, precise and sufficiently detailed .Prophetic material can be obtained in the waking state too. When it comes in a dream state it allows for a deeper and easier penetration of the conscious mind. Most people apply logical values to psychic material that comes to them, in a dream state logic is absent. It is easy to get through while you are asleep and ready to dream than while you are busy in daily activities...
It would be foolish to dismiss a prophectic dream just because a date and time has gone by.
Most dreams have symbolism but prophectic dreams are known for detail, seeing events as they will happen it is surround by no symbolism.
It is important to remember paranormal dreams are subject to law just like everything else, if a person has a psychic dream, whatever message comes at the time will be received and remembered upon awakening, whether it is important or not. there is no such thing as selective dreaming in these types of dreams pertaining the so- called future.

Sometimes people may dream in spurts, you may dream one now and then nothing for months, even years. No one knows why this is, it could be because of changes in environment, physical or mental states of the dreamer. It is not known why but does happen.
Some prophectic dreams foretell death or tragedy but should not be confused with warning dreams.Warning dreams action may be taken to change the outcome of the dream.
During psychic dreams we are able to temporarily go between dimensions.
These dreams require no interpretations they are messages from the unconscious state to the conscious state. Not all psychic dreams have a connection to the dreamer.
Some dreams can be incomplete but it is not because a person has forgotten apart of the dream but because it was an incomplete message sent.
And most important: prophectic dream can not be forces or willed these are connections at random really it depends on if the dream is will to receive them.........

There is a basic difference between psychic dreams of the future(prophectic) and warning dreams and that is that the psychic dream forsees events that WILL occur as seen in the dream. A warning dream contains urgency, to do something about it. They are scenes just like prophectic dreams but with the difference that they appear merely as possibilities which by be averted under certain conditions. The thing is you are not sure if you can change them but feel a need to try....
In a warning dream you are an onlooker rather than the part taker.
These dreams are to forewarn the person or someone the known to the person of danger. It is thought that only certain people are given these dreams warnings of disaster. Some think it has to deal with accumulated or earned karma.
If you are in a dream suffering some type of tragic fate this is not known as a warning dream but some sort of premonitory experience which will eventually happen. The line between premonitions occur in the state bordering on sleep and actual warning dreams. Warning dreams can occur during other types of dreams like survivual dreams where a dead relative or someone known to you will appear and speak of a danger in the future.
Note: It is possible for people with psychoneurotic problems to create false dream but such dreams hold great symbolism and contents are confusing.
True warning dreams are nearly always precise and to the point.
There is no explanation why some people dream about a celebrity. But this does occur in prophectic dreams.Pregnant woman are usually sensitive to psychic communication and intuition.
Not all warning dreams are tragic.

Love all the dream threads that you have created, Autumn Clair. :) I love learning new info- particularly on dreams.
Isn't it weird how dreams come true and you get to know others better through them? A while ago, I used to have a dream about a friend of mine sitting in the dark on a light colored sofa in a small family room watching Star Trek. I never analyzed the dream even though. Finally, I asked him about it and he said that he watches that show in the dark every night at 11 in a room similar to the one that I described. In another incident, I had a dream about a friend of mine decorating her home with paintings of Demeter. I later found out that she was praying a lot to Demeter since she was expecting a baby and felt close to that particular goddess.
Well, those dreams helped me get to know friends better even though I did no analysis of them. Usually, I analyze dreams through symbolism. I have a dream symbolism book, but I never use it. I don't use it since many of the symbols in my dreams weren't in there or did not make sense to me. Thus, I usually use my own interpretation on what the symbols in my dream mean.

Wow you actually hit on another type of psychic dreaming I haven't brought up yet. It's next on the list ESP has two types simultaneous dreams andretrocognitive dreams. Your dream seems it hit on simultaneous ESP dreams in which the dreamer tunes into an event going on at a distance. It's kind of like picking up on another person energy wave and your seeing in your dreams what they are actually doing.
The mind is filled with mystery and who's to say why we dream the way we dream. Chemical need of the body, a connection to the unknown thru a barrier that only the unconscious mind can break through. Scientist always want to be able to explain why and how and what for but somethings I think are better left unknown. Why we have psychic dreams is easy we dream them to help or to guide. How, all we know is we are more willing to except the message in an unconscious state but how it is actually done is still a mystery. What for, well we won't know that either unless we ask the being or sender this question but we do know there is a reason and a reason why only certain people are picked.
Thanks for the comments..........

ESP dreams are telepathic dreams in which the dream perceives or receives information from another person. Living or dead but pertaining to the present even if at a distance. In this type of dream the transmission need not be conscious or exact. The dreamer picks up thought energy. Both a contemplated events and actual event may be the suject of this type of dream.
In simultaneous ESP dreams the dreamer tunes in to an event going on at a distance. In this type of dream the dreamer is present without being seen. Those dreams where the dreamer is noticed at a distant location are thought of as Out -Of- Body experiences. This will be talked about next...........
Retrocognitive ESP dreams is an event that has already taken place in the past but the dreamer is not familiar with it in his/her conscious state. They somewhat resemble psychometry experiment in which you touch an object and see the objects past just by this contact. In retrocognitive dreams the dreamer has no chioce of direction. The dream is unexpected and does not require the pysical presence of the dream in that location.
The clarity of an ESP dream and strong remembrance when waking set it apart from symbolical and pychological interpretation.

I had this dream several years ago. I had the dream about a year before I even met my boyfriend at the time. In the dream I was in this place what looked like an apartment, nothing happened in the dream it was like I was just standing in the room and, some object in the room were a little blurry but I could make out the doors, windows and this enormous light colored entertainment center but the object in it were too blurry, and then that was it. I had the dream several times before I met my boyfriend but pretty much forgotten about it mainly because nothing really happened in the dream. Then one day after me and my boyfriend at the time started dating, my boyfriend went to go pick up something from the store and left me alone at his apartment. A little while after he left I stood up and it was almost like I had reverted back to the dream. I was in the same place in the room as I was in the dream and that's when I realized that standing in front of me was the same shaped, light colored entertainment center. I don't know weather I was just in shock but I remember getting weak for a moment and I sat back down, and I remember just kinda looking and saying to myself talk about deja vu. Can you make any sense to this? This website is the first place I have been able to finally get some answers to what has been going on with my life (the dreams) ever since I can remember. TKS for the replies! :floating:

Of course I'll help. That dream was actually one of a foreseen nature it was showing you a moment in your future. The fact that you didn't remember it was probablly because the information you received wasn't of any major importance meaning going to happen right then and there. But you know it was a prediction type dream because as soon as you saw that moment you remembered. Look at the types listed and see if you can tell me which type of dream it is. I'll check back in.:colorful:

A foreseen dream of an event that will occur is in fact a prophectic dream. Just because it doesn't occur with a time frame of the dream which is usually two to three weeks after a dream does not dismiss it.

Astral travel consists of projecting the inner body or etheric self from the physical body. This can occur during sleep and waking conditions (momentary displacement). Usually a projection of any length are nearly always part of a dream state. The sleeper travels various distances from that to the ceiling, to other side of the continent and remain connected to the body by a silver cord which is not always seen.
It can occur in two ways. willingly projecting the inner self to a predetermined place. Involuntary travel during sleep. Most things are remembered upon waking with the same intense and clear view of a psychic dream. They are the opposite of a prophectic dream but of that of ESP. You observe yourself and remember what you have seen and your experience. There is something this has that no other psychic dream is capable of observing the inner self by outside observation usually while fully awake. It is hard to distinguish it from an ordinary dream because the dream may not always remember his/her travel movements.
Common physical and emotional effects of astral projection.
feeling of extreme fatigue when waking even though you slept more hours than usual.
sense of falling, spinning usually with a fear of falling. Physical reaction to the step down of vibrations from the very fast astral projection speed to that of the body as you re enter.
recollection of having gone through solid wall, seeing one's own body below, usually at the beginning.Feeling of drifting away, sometimes lightening speed across landscape, temp. discomfort like chills, moisture or heat.Might even see the silver cord.Seeing people or scenes but not being able to make vioce contact.Visual contact has been noted.
They occur many times during operations when you've been anesthetized.
There are plenty of sites online that will tell you how to astral project...........

Hello autumn clair, My most vivid dreams was as a child regarding my previous life as a monk, writing out copies of books in script, I even took up lettering as a small boy and become good at it, gold leaf and all the artistic way they decorated the capitals. Sadly i wasnt able to complete my tasks in my last reincarnation because of lack of belief in my self, and religious persecution which lead to my death, Hence i carry a spiritual scar. I wish i had completed my tasks last time, as i think ive got something really heavy to do in this life, and all my planets are getting set off now, starting with uranus when it was 29 aquarius in opp to my 29 leo mc, later in the year looks mildly interesting(understatement)...the monk bit is also in my chart ,my vesta is conjunct my asc. in the 12th house, i didnt study asteroids till lately, hence my forum name, that and because im a monkey in chinese astrology , you will see a connection when you buy that book. the monk

No these dreams are not about your survival but about an indivdual who past on.There are dreams that involve dead people. Some people can interact with the presence of a dead relative or friend in the dream state but the characteristics of such material are different from true survival dreams.
In the psychic type survival dream communication is clear and concise and there is usually a message attached which becomes clear only after the dream and might not mean anything to the dream but for a specific individual.
It is easier for discarnates to reach people in the physical dimension while they are asleep. This type of psychic dream is strongly motivated, there is a purpose. These types of dreams should not be dismissed they hold a purpose, it is very important to understand that.
They give advance information. Sometimes these dreams are to let you know there is another dimension, other plane. The figure will not look shadowy or like light but a really clear human form.

I haven't had any since I was maybe.... 12 or 13. I'm 22 now, I used to have them all the time, and they just stopped all of a sudden. They always freaked me out, and I never talked about them until I got older. Now, I'm lucky if I remember my dreams at all. Though sometimes, those kind of dreams seem like a curse instead of a blessing. Not sure if I miss them at all.....

No one really knows why this happens, but sometimes it's a week, a months even 5 years before you'll have your next vision. I get slow periods like when I was in my 20's they didn't stop all the way but very few and far between then I hit 30 and they were coming like crazy again. With deaths in the family and warnings needing attention.
You will find the more you have them and surive to understand them and your purpose you will see them as a gift and that you are just a minor stone in the playing field. You deliver the message thats it but it is humbling when you help someone and I don't go explaining how I know things, it's more of a not of importance how I know the gift is that you can help and don't need praise for doing it....:colorful:

Recurrent dreams are usually very colorful and puzzling to the dreamer. Not all dreams are precise in fact they can be partial dreams, hazy and frustrating. They leave you feeling you have been given a glance of your past. Reincarnation dreams are dreams in which an indivual sees him/herself going through actions in a place which they are not familiar with in conscious state.
Reincarnation dreams have a habit in coming in series usually they are usually the same dream over and over but some will give further information in bits and pieces. You don't have to be psychic to have this time of dream. You feel restless and a compulsion to do something about the dream.
You look different yet you know this is you and it is to you all things happen. There is only one other dream where you are a partipant and that's prophectic dreams. And in that dream you appear as your present self. In reincarnation dreams you will not look like you do now.
Psychiatrists will dismiss such dreams as fantasies, wish-fulfillment dreams.Reincarnation dreams come to some people at different times in their lives, but most people never have them. These dreams come when a previous life has been cut short or by tragic means and this dream is to influence your present life conduct. Some deja vu which is more involved and contains precise and detailed information about places and situations the person is not familiar with is due to reincarnation memories. If you have knowledge of a place ex Egypt and you have knowledge of Egyptology then we have to ask are you having this type of dream caused by conscious knowledge.
Not all reincarnation dreams are defined with a beginning, middle and ending. Ans occasionally the present life can be intermingled with reincarnation dreams it confusing.Dreams shared by more than one person are even more rare than having a reincarnation dream. It causes us to ask if these people were together in a previous life ?
Dreams dealing with the transitional period or the very moment of coming back are extremely rare. Perhaps this is because according to karmic law that is one part of the experience one is not suppose to remember. There is said to be a" well of forgetfulness" in which the water accomplishes this. Many things can trigger a memory of another life a place, person, smell even.
There is another part to reincarnation dreams called fear dreams. They deal with how a person past on. Sometime the anxiety ceases when a certain age is reached and the dreams stop. In this type the manner of death is extremely violent and remembered stronger than the rest of the dream.

Great thread, Autumn Clair!
When I was 15, I had a dream which I believe to be a reincarnation dream. I was in an open room made completely of white stone. There were large openings on each side that had like a white gauze type fabric over them. I was high up, sort of like a tower. It was very hot, a dry heat. I was draped in a flowing white fabric. I'm not sure what nationality I was. I know that my skin was very dark, and my hair was very long, black and curly. I had a gold arm band that was shaped like a cobra, and it had rubies for eyes. In the room with me was a youn man. He was dressed in white and gold, and had some sort of headress. He wore lots of jewelry too. He was pacing between the windows, and I realized that people were yelling. I looked out, and there was an angry mob below us. I walked to him crying, and we embraced. The most peculiar thing is that I knew that I was going to die with him. I knew we were both going to die, and I resented him for it. Then I woke up. I researched for days, but I couldn't pinpoint a location. I think I was in India, possibly the Middle East somewhere. I'm still looking though.
