DISTURBED!!!!!

When I first joined this community there was nothing but love for everyone in it. I came by and checked out the board and saw that two of the newer people had quit. I read another post saying that we need to get together and clear up the way the world views us. How can we do that if we are at each others throats? Of all the different types of people in the world we as Pagans/Wiccans or what ever we call this community should be the most p@$%^ off people in the world. But we are not. More of us believe in the rede than some might think. Why should it matter if you are called a wiccan or a pagan? If they call you the wrong thing can't it be explained to the with out having to use REALLY BIG LETTERS and itallics? When things are explained to me in this manner I feel like you are expressing anger towards me. My friends gave me the title RICHARD CRANIUM as a joke because I went to far with an argument and really hurt someone with my comments. I keep this title to remind me of that day so I do not go that far anymore. I now pass that title to some of the people on this board because they deserve it. Can't we go back to the good old days when we didn't cause other people quit this wonderful community?

That is why I asked them to stop with the personal attacks. It is okay to be passionate about what you are writing, but it is not okay to divert that energy to hurting others. What we have here is a difference of opinion that has escalated. Hopefully it will calm down, but I will be keeping an eye on the conversation until I am sure that these attacks are through.

I took an evening and look what happened. I want to remind everyone that we are a Community here with a whole bunch of different ppl. It is impossible that we will agree all the time. And it is impossible that there will not be arguments. That is a sign of growth because when you do get a bunch of different people together you will get sparks.

I dont agree with a lot that was being said in the past few conversations. And, as the board moderator I am going to have to sit in the background on this one. And try to mend what was broken, between people.

I would prefer to have this not start a war between..I was right...they were right...because I dont think anyone was at fault here. It was a disagreement. Yes, an argument. And it happens. Now, can we pick up where we left off?

With the conversations ppl...not the argument. :)

when this kind of thing happens the offending person is notified right? i know i'm being naive but i'm really in the dark as to how all this works and well i'd hate to ever have to find out in a round about way that i did or said something wrong....i'd never want to do or say something wrong! so even though this is likely a silly question could you let me know? thanx a million:)

One of the reasons I love this community so much and keep coming back is because of the many different paths, the many walks of life we all come from. I want to learn from all of you.
This is a bit off topic, but I am going into the hospital for surgery and will be gone for about a week or so. I will really miss checking in every day and seeing what everyone is up to. :( I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing... Please keep me in mind.

First of all, Belladonna23, warm wishes going your way. I wish you a speedy recovery and hopefully things will be back to normal when you return.

On the topic of all the problems here of late....well honestly I have no idea what was/is going on. I have been extremely busy and a little under the weather so haven't had a chance to check in. I know that work was crazy Wednesday, everyone at each others throats, both patients and staff. Most everyone I have spoken to in the last couple of days has had a crappy outlook. I believe there is some imbalance going on in the world right now and we can only hope that it is an astrology thing...LITHA HELP!!!

I love this community and all the members. I don't know what the issues were but I hope we can move past it and get back to the warm, loving place we started out with. I think if we all just take a minute to reflect and let hurt feelings go, we can get back to the sharing.

What will help me recover more quickly will be if everyone is still here when I get back! I didn't really finish reading that particular thread, it got to a point where I just couldn't bear to read another word.
