What's the Karma points for?

I know this is a little late to notice - I never was the sharpest tack in the box - but there seems to be a little Karma Points system in place now. What exactly is it for? I feel dumb for not noticing it before; I wouldn't have if I hadn't noticed that I have more dots under my name than I did a couple minutes ago. What's it for, what does it do, how does it work?

It's to make everyone feel good and encourage being nice :) The more Karma you touch, the more karma you get :huddle:
