Just had an idea..........

In the week that I've been here, I've noticed several people suggest we have a chat room.

The main problem seems to be that it could take us away from these boards, which would be terribly sad.

How about a new thread for people who would just like some general chit-chat about nothing in particular?
We could have a new one each day, or each week, and it wouldn't take us away from these boards. It would just be somewhere to go while 'gathering our thoughts', or when there are just a few people on.

Any thoughts?

I am replying to if a chat room is a good idea or not. I think it is a good idea, but I like the boards to I am just learning all of this out so bear with me please.

yep, you're quite right wyrdsister!
During my first few visits here, all the threads seemed quite serious, not many to 'chill out' to.
But now i've been here a whole 2.5 weeks i've found plenty of trivial threads - hahaha.
So, sorry, stupid suggestion, ignore it!

no, not a "stupid" suggestion, we've discussed it before and an attempt was made to set up a chat room by a couple of members. it seems that most would as soon keep thing right here. perhaps one day it will happen but the time and circumstances just haven't been right yet.
