Ummmm,
Probably a dumb question, but is there a "best" time that I should conduct my Solstice/Yule ritual? Meaning, I will be at home by *myself* (yay! an unheard of treat! :) ) on that day, and it would be much easier to do it during the day than the evening. But is this ok? This will be my first ritual for Yule as I didn't have a chance to celebrate it last year, and I want to make sure I do it right.

Any advice would really, really be appreciated! :colorful:

I think this is a whatever works for you kinda thing. For me, I have leftover memories of going to midnight church services on xmas eve (and likewise sunrise services for Easter), so in my mind, the perfect time for me to celebrate Yule would be around midnight on the night of the Solstice. That ain't gonna happen for me this year, and I haven't heard anything from the group I get together with as to when we'll have circle, so it will probably wind up on a Friday or Saturday night in the near future, if it isn't skipped altogether.

If during the day works best for you, then go for it. Some people would want to have it at the exact moment of the Solstice, but that would be like 2am(ish) tonight for you. If you have the day only, then the daytime it is. :D
