View Full Version : I'm a girl!
Cerulean
December 22nd, 2003, 08:02 PM
I'm a girl. I just wanted to clear that up. Apparently my name confused some people. Cerulean is the word for a certain shade of blue.
I've been meaning to post this for a while but I've been having a feeling some people would post snotty comments. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't do that.
Thank you.

Like Storm of the X-Men? She's a woman too!
How strange, you all get confused for men. I don't think I ever got confused for a woman around these forums... :)

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I certainly wasn't trying to make fun of you, but I was trying to make a light-hearted comment. I'll remove my post.

:) I've been called a guy on here numerous times....
sometimes it helps if you have an avatar that's the same gender as you. (I know I'm using a guy right now, and I'll probably pay. )
:hugz: Just to let you know I"ve been there. :smooch:

I figured you were a girl-- not that many males know what Cerulean is even a word, much less a color--hubby wouldn't and he's a smart guy. ;)
No offense to you males out there who are up on your colors! :colorful:

Hey SV,
So since I have a froggy, what's that mean for me? :hehehehe:

Hey SV,
So since I have a froggy, what's that mean for me? :hehehehe:
Maybe you're an androgyny?
I've never (to my knowledge) been mistaken for a guy, but I *have* been wrong about others before. That's one of the many good reasons for the gender icons I've seen various people begging Mol for!!!

Surely all that really matters is the heart and soul - and depending what you believe, your gender this time around does not determine your gender next time around.

Yes, I forgot to say that cerulean is an absolutely beautiful shade of blue, and that you obviously have excellent taste since you chose that color!

Apparently, there are alot of people out there that don't know names of colors other than the simple names, like red, white, blue, green, blac,k orange and purple.
Example: I was at a fireworks show a few 4th o July's back. One of the fireworks actually had FUSCIA (sp) colores in it. So I was like "oohhh, fuscia". I ended up impressing a couple people nearby with that sort of knowledge.
Scary, neh?

i knew that, but i think i would have guessed it anyway. like a male comedian i once saw said, "women and men have differently organized brains. women have a whole section for shades of blue." they didn't have cerulean in the big box of crayons when i was a kid, but they do now. i miss lemon yellow. :(
i haven't been mistaken for a guy here that i know of, but my original avatar was lisa simpson.

almost forgot -- White Dragon, i have had guys say similar things to my face, so i don't think they necessarily thought you were a guy. i prefer the phrase "intestinal fortitude" or "backbone" myself. courage is not just for guys!!

I had the big box of crayons, and cerulean IS a pretty blue. My cerulean crayon probably broke first, because I liked it so much.
I'm a woman, too! When I first came here, several people mistook my gender, but it just takes time for everybody to get to know each other.
Ambivalent Mirage and WtchyChick, you cracked me up! You goofs!

Sorry White Dragon, that was me. ( Thread titled sexual feeling after ritual) However, I wasn't thinking male or female. I just like saying 'testicular fortitude' ....It's more amusing than the alternative.

Sweety you just cleared up a misconception some may have had. Hey I'm a girl too and so many times I get girls flirting with me 'cause they think I am a guy. Dragonsinger is as feminine as I can think of and it is because I have dragon in my name .....Well heck I am a girl.

I can't find the poll right now, but the question "are you a boy or a girl?" was asked. If memory serves, there were something like 315 women to 80 men. I assume that most people here are women. I know from experience which of you are men.
I am a man, by the way.

Hopefully the "Old Man Witch" tag should do it, but one thing that bothers me about websites is that sometimes people post without really reading what they are responding too.

Speaking of confusion ... on Internet Infidels Discussion Board I was often taken to be a woman, because of the “Dawn” in my username. Not only that, but people often turned the “Heathen” in my username to “Heather”. I dont’t want that happening here. :fpatricks
So ... I’m a male. Let that be clear.
