(((AngelWitch))) sending you love, with energy for calm when thinking of your son and the test he faces. To (((your son and his fellow recruits))), I send love with energy for strength, endurance, physical agility, mental clarity, good instincts, and unity in their effort toward a victorious resolution. They all have my respect.
I send energy better when I can visualize what someone faces and needs. Though I know several Marines, I'd never heard of the Crucible (other than the play by Arthur Miller, and I was fairly certain that your son and his compatriots were not facing opening night jitters in staging a play!), so I looked up what was involved here:

I include this in case anyone else needs this info as much as I did.

The Crucible -- Recruit Training's Defining Moment
The Crucible is a test every recruit must go through to become a Marine. It tests every recruit physically, mentally and morally and is the defining moment in recruit training.
The Crucible is no walk in the park, unless your idea of a walk in the park takes place over 54-hours and includes food and sleep deprivation and approximately 40 miles of marching.
The entire Crucible event pits teams of recruits against a barrage of day and night events requiring every recruit to work together solving problems, overcoming obstacles and helping each other along.
The obstacles they face range from long marches, combat assault courses, the problem-solving reaction course, and the team-building Warrior Stations. Each Warrior Station is named for a Marine hero whose actions epitomize the values we want recruits to espouse.
Bottom line -- The Crucible is a rite of passage that, through shared sacrifice, recruits will never forget. With that memory and their Core Values learned in recruit training, they can draw upon the experience to face any challenge in their path.

Rowan, he's still in the middle of it, with the hardest part tomorrow and tomorrow night.
They need, and I send energy for - strength, endurance, physical agility, mental clarity, good instincts, and unity in their effort toward a victorious resolution, with love for them and their will to serve.
(((AngelWitch))) try not to worry :hugz: http://sat2.space.noa.gr/~daglis/nike.html
