So, the Mastermind thread got me started on thinking about some of the Help books I've read in regards to business, or making money work for you... So I don't expect there will be many books on here, but I figured I'd offer a quick reference thread for anyone who wanted to tell about a book that helped them with job/money stuff... The name and a quick description would be great, if anyone has some! I'm curious to see what else is out there, too!

The first book I can think of is Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It's pretty much a book on how the rich make money, and keep the money working for them. It talks about assets and how to make them work for you, references a good game for getting out of the working/money rat race, and offers suggestions on how to supplement your income and get tax breaks. ^_^

Another one is What Color is Your Parachute. This goes over different aspects of things that people are good at, and helps guide you to a career, or give you options for doing work that you'll love doing and getting paid for it... These are the only 2 books I can think of right now. My husband is the one whose reading them, trying to get his initiative going, so I'll see if I can get any more from him. :)

Noressa,
Those books sound pretty interesting! I am going to go have a look at them on Amazon for some additional info :)
While I don't have any specific money/job books, one book I do recommend is "The Seven Habits of Highly Motivated People" (think that's the right title) if you are looking for initiative--it's a pretty good book and helps you think of game plans in your own life. :colorful:
You should have your hubby check it out! :floating:

Noressa, I have three books I have used almost religiously for my business ethics.

#1 - "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Absolutely essential. It has really given me an advantage in the day to day workings of not only my jobs but life in general.

#2 - "Leadership Secrets of the Rogue Warrior" by Richard Marcinko. If you can find it! Wonderful read on business priorities by a very no BS kind of guy.

#3 - I can't remember the title, but the biography of Lee Iaccoca. Incredible life, incredible man!
