Ok folks, been a couple of weeks since we did the first, but now that holidays are settling down, we're ready to go again!
Just in case you don't remember how it works here's a quick overview:
1. I will post a reading using one of my decks and the Celtic Cross spread.
2. You will interpret the reading using any deck you choose with the corresponding cards from that deck.
3. You will PM me with your interpretation. Do not post it here.
4. On Sunday I will post all of the interpretations and we will compare the results.
This weeks reading is a general reading. It's not for any specific person so don't worry about accuracy so much as how YOU interpret the cards.
I'm using the Thoth deck and the Celtic Cross Spread.
As there are varying layouts for that spread, here is how I am doing it:
---------------------------5----------------10
-----------------------4---1-(2)----6-------9
---------------------------3-----------------8
---------------------------------------------7
Where (2) is crossing over the top of 1.
There are no reversals in the deck so no reversals will come up. Use any method you wish for interpretation.
1. Six of Wands
2. Nine of Cups
3. Six of Swords
4. Eight of Swords
5. Queen of Cups
6. Five of Cups
7. Five of Swords
8. The Sun
9. Four of Swords
10. Ten of Wands
Have fun!

I've never seen this being done before, i may have to give it shot myself, i'm not sure how well i will be at it, because i'm not used to interpretating the cards unless it's for a specific person, but i'll give it a go when i got some time :)

Hiya, heres my interpretation of the cards, i must say, this was kinda hard because of it not being for a specific person, so i've kinda done it as though i'm reading for someone. I used the Robin Wood tarot.
Here it is :
_____________
1. Six of Wands :
The querent would be considering some kind of travelling, and leaving family behind.
They would be very happy and been giving honor and vicory.
This card also says creativity, and being able to understand ideas.
This could mean the querent has good news regarding their career, and that their goals have been reached.
2. Nine of cups :
This could mean the querent is having material and emotional problems.
It gives off alot of happiness though, but with the card being in this position, the emotions come acorss as negative.
This person would have accurate intuition, but find it hard to listen and follow thier intuition.
They are wanting to fulfill their dream, but the emotional side is stopping them.
3. Six of swords :
This card indicates that the querent wishes to leave their troubles beind, and having to make a decision that will end their worries.
Their are new opportunities open to the querent, and they should go for it.
4. Eight of swords :
The querent once felt trapped and bewildered. Their goals seemed so out of reach, and they once felt alot of hurt and criticism caused by rumors.
Their was alot of frustration surrounding the querent, but this was only temporary.
5. Queen of cups :
Again, this card shows alot of artistic ability and intuition. This person had given alot of emotional support at one point, and had been a great help to someone.
6. Five of cups :
This card signifies loss, their could be stress withina relationship, torn friendhsips and dwelling on a loss.
This person goes through a very rough time and so also avoids any decisions, and seems to have regrets.
7. Five of swords :
The current attitude of the querent is carelessness, due to their own self-esteem being crushed.
There is alot of blaming on others, and feelings of selfishness.
This person has had to face their own struggles, but it all reveals their own personal courage.
8. The sun :
This card signifies contentmant, and possibly a new addition to the family or inidicating a big family.
There is alot of joy and harmony and this is the time for new beginnings.
They are also content and happy with the material side of things.
9. Four of swords :
There is alot of rest and ease, and being able to gather thoughts.
The querent has taken a rest to find themself, and this is a great way to self-cleanse. Worries have been forgotten temporarly, and there is peace and serenity.
10. Ten of Wands :
There is some sort of promotion in a career, which involves a venture.
Theres also alot of cooperation between people and the querent has helped other people, and took problems off of their hands. There may be a few pressures at work, but they need to work through thtme, and the querent will soon be rewarded afterwards.

There you go, i hope thats ok!

Card 9 -4 of swords-querent's fears adn concerns
Card 10 -10 of wands-likely outcome
This person is enjoying a great success after a period of struggle and difficulty. This success represents the fulfillment of a deeply held wish or desire. There is very much a sense of leaving troubles and difficulties behind and moving ahead to a calmer period. Much of the individual's struggle came from their inability or unwillingness to take action for fear of what the consequences might have been. Once they finally did take action, they were treated to a wonderful success.
A kind and generous friend may well come to this person's aid in the near future; or possibly, they will connect with a more generous and forgiving aspect of their own personality.
Despite their success, this individual is still obsessed with a sense of loss and disappointment over whatever didn't work exactly as they had hoped.
This individual can't get past their shortcomings and failures--either real or perceived--despite what is obviously a tremendous success in the eyes of others.
This individual is greatly concerned over taking time to rest and relax. They may even have a real fear of being ill. This person is very likely to once again over burden themselves with too many obligations and responsibilities. I'd venture that this person demands a great deal of themself, very likely, too much. This person really needs to learn to enjoy their successes and stop obsessing about their failures.

Deck used ~ World Spirit
1. What Covers You > 6 of Wands
Your general environment is very positive now, it is your time in the limelight. You're getting recognition for a job well done, and experiencing your 15 minutes of fame. Dreams have been manifested, and now you have the chance to inspire others. Advice - focus on one specific goal and DO IT. Do things right, keep your systems running clean and your efforts will pay off, if they aren't already.
2. What Crosses You ~ 9 of Cups
This card is known as the "wishing card!" Now is the time to visualize your desires and intentions, because chances are they just might come true. Make sure you know what you're wishing for, be prepared when it comes your way, and make sure to give THANKS.
Indulge yourself right now, give yourself permission to express yourself. Revel in your you-niqueness...do not give in to soceity's standards of beauty. Get out and do physical activities that bring you joy.
3. What is Below You ~ 6 of Swords
Passage. Either a passage from one level of understanding to another...or an actual trip...or exploring your inner self through dreamwork. This is the time to leave old pains and patterns behind. Even if you don't think that you're ready, take the steps b/c some sort of action is called for (Swords = action). The future is uncertain, but the hardest part is taking that first step. Cut your losses. Get out while the gittin is good.
4. What Is Behind You ~ 8 of Swords
Paralysis. This card reminds me of the Tori video for Spark....where she is bound and blindfolded but has to escape her captor. Fear is your captor, self-criticism and self-doubt are what ties and blinds you. Figure out how to work within the constraints....slowly you will be free of them.
5. What is Above You ~ Queen of Cups
She (could signify actual person or qualities you need to cultivate within yourself) is smiling down on you sending you unconditional love...whether you succeed or fail she will still love you. So, go on, and try. She brings you a natural channel for dreams, visions and emotions (Cups = emotions) and advises cultivating your inner-self through meditation, spiritual work. Listen to her.
6. What is Before Yolu ~ Five of Cups
I'm looking for the good in this card...it's not one of my most welcome.
Something is not working, could be a vocation, or a relationship, and you need to admit that it's over or not working. Cut the ties that held you to thisshould be cut, becuase they belong to the past. Although 3 cups have spilled, there are still 2 full ones waiting. And even though this is a sad time, you can focus on the positive qualities of the Cups 5 and find things that stimulate creativity in your life. Go outside of your normal boundaries.
7. What is Inside You - 5 of Swords
You need to assert yourself to bring about change and to break away from confining circumstances. A competitive, take charge attitude is called for, and you might have to dig deep to find this part of you. Engage in competition, play games or sports, run marathons, etc. to encourage this. Don't become a tyrant, but do stand up for yourself, especially if you sacrifice your own needs to appease others.
8. That Which Surrounds You - The Sun
You are surrounded by happiness, creativity, luck, growth, vitality, celebration and affirmation. A beaming light shines down on you and yours. Perhaps you should connect with your inner child - play something you enjoyed as a child. All kinds of new ideas are encouraged by the Sun. Let your light shine, and share it with those who need some of your warmth.
9. Your hopes and fears - 4 of Swords
You have been wounded, and you need to go lick your wounds. Retreat to a regenerative space where you can heal. You need to remove yourself from the issue (perhaps caused by the Swords 5) which means going backwards. Don't let this fear stop you from going ahead with becoming more competitive.
10. What you will learn - 10 of Wands
You are striving to make your own mark in this world and therefore have many things to carry. Many people are behind you, signified by the #10 and remember that there is strenght in numbers - there is collective energy from your family and friends that will help you carry these wands toward a special destination.
It's never too late to start working on a dream, nor is it ever to late to start over if need be.
Summary:
My thoughts are that you have some big moves to make, and are very nervous about doing so. You need to figure out what you want to do, come up with a plan, execute the plan and then Relax. You have lots of support and any fears you have about taking this leap are all in your mind. In the end I see you carrying a load, but it is a joyful one, and one that you have asked for. You are capable.
Great job everyone!
