Hi, I have been reading through some of the postings in here and discovered someone had asked how to make home made oils.
First of all you need to get a jam jar or glass jar with a screw on lid fill this was the plant material you wish to use and then fill the jar up with a vegetable or sunflower oil. Place in a pan of boiling water and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Leave to cool down put the lid on the jar and leave overnight. The next day place some linen over the jar and tip the contents into the linen squeezing the oil into a bowl et voila scented homemade oil!!!!!!!!!
Hope that is of use.

Another way that I've learned to make oils is by getting the kind of herb and tightly packing it into a jar, then pouring the oil, preferably sunflower...but veggie is good too :), then leaving it in a sunny area for 2-3 weeks. After the time has passed, put linen or cheesecloth over the jar and flip it over, squeezing the oil out and into a jar or container.
So far, I've made lavender, thyme, mint, basil and lemon balm oil this way,and it worked out wonderfully. :)
good luck!

That way works just as well - takes a little longer that is all........also any sort of oil can be used as a base - grapeseed oil is really good to use.
Your blends sound wonderful.
