Major Trouble In Paradise

Hello everyone, I'm not really sure how to do this so bear with me. I'm asking for energy and prayers for the strength to deal with my fiancee. He is totally against my converting to Wicca. He says that if I continue with it he will leave me. I love him whle-heartedly but I refuse to hide/ignore my beliefs for anyone. It hurts me terribly to see this coming but I do see it. I have tried to reason with him and explain to him that it is not "evil" and bad like he thinks. Way in the past he was into black magick and the black bible and I guess a lot of horrible things happened while he was practicing, and he thinks it will happen with Wicca. He is totally narrow minded and pig-headed and will not budge at all on the issue. The worst part is that we have a 4 month old daughter together. Well, thank you for your energy and prayers in advance and hopefully it isnt too much of a bloodbath when we part ways.

I wish I was good at offering advice...all I can say is, follow your heart and trust that things will turn out for the best.

Maybe talk him into visiting here. I really don't know. My dad was against my intrest in magick also when I was younger for the same reasons. He got into the darker side of things when he was younger and lots of bad things happened to him and the family. I really don't discuss it with him so it's easier in my situation. I can tell you a couple stories similar to yours. My ex boyfriend and I were engaged and while he wasn't actively religious but he wanted his "wife to go to heaven" and if I was into Witchcraft, well, he just wasn't into it. So, I put the idea out of my mind because I was just "looking into it" at the time. Eventually we broke up and then I got married and now my hubby is supportive of my beliefs.

Also, my brother used to be Wiccan. I say used to because he chose to quit at the request of his wife. He now goes to church.

I tell you these things because I want to tell you that you're not alone and things will work out, even if it isn't what you thought would happen or what you think you want. Just be true to yourself and you will find the way. :)

well...not to sound like I'm taking your painful situation lightly...but thank the Gods you didn't marry him already...I've made the mistake of marrying someone who doesn't share my beliefs TWICE..thinking both times that it would work itself out..that the love we shared in other areas would compensate...and it didn't work out like that...
