I heard someone speak years ago, cant even remember who it was to properly credit, maybe Macha Nightmare, who talked about the way the sabbats related to our ancestors lives, and how the emphasis on the meaning of some have changed due to our evolution. This led to my considering the things that are important to the cycle to me, due to where I live, my circumstances, etc. At that point, long ago I started doing a ritual for the first snowfall of the year, this year my fiance and I sat down and made five new personal holidays to go with the first snowfall. They include recognising the ripening of the strawberries, and ripening of the apples, and the sap run. A day to honor our pets and a day to honor teachers and mentors. Just curious on if anyone else has their own personal holidays and what they celebrate.
