View Full Version : Do you ever get SCARED?

Of your Tarot deck, I mean? Things are going oh-so-wonderfully in my life right now, but my bf and I are contemplating a move. I have thought about consulting my deck, but frankly, I am worried. What if it tells me something awful?
So what should I do- bite the bullet and try to read with myself, even with all these fears? Should I have someone else read for me? (Not that I know anyone.) Or should I just forget the whole thing and enjoy myself?
We all use the Tarot when things are bad and we need guidance, but what do we do when we are happy? :)

I use the Tarot daily, happy or sad. I draw a card each day for an idea of how my day may go. If you are afraid of what the Tarot may tell you, then you probably will only look for the good in the reading and should probably get an outside opinion about your reading. As far as who to ask? We've got a bunch of great readers here at MW. Just post a request.

The tarot only tells you what is most likely to occur next considering the way things have been going. If you ever read something in the tarot that you don't like the look of, remember that you always have the power to try to change the outcome. Nothing is actually written in stone. I'd be glad to do a tarot or rune reading for you if you'd like?

Many thanks to Lunacie for her great reading! Not only was it insightful, but it made me realize what a ninny I've been! :)

You're welcome, dearling. ... I think...

*smile* I didn't mean to make you feel like a ninny.

No, you didn't make me feel like a ninny. I was just being silly because I was imagining things that don't exist. I am a drama queen!
But the cards are a tool...if we don't let them help us out of fear, then we are missing out. This helped me realize that :) !

Ah, but even with the cards it is hard to be impartial and not bring our own feelings, fears, and expectations into a reading. That's why it can be helpful to ask someone who doesn't know us to do a reading once in awhile.

As to your question earlier, I think you're right that we are more likely to get out our cards when things are a little rocky and we're unsure of our path. But they can be a great confirmation when things are going well, and can let us know of possible problems well in advance so we have our eyes open and are thinking of ways to deal with the problems. I wish I had the discipline to do a small reading for myself more often, like once a week, to either confirm my path or warn me of speed bumps ahead. :)
