was at the grocery store, walk up to the register to pay, the guy looks down and say "I want to ask you a question" so I was expecting a question about my pendant...

Him: "Yeah I just recently got into Tool"
Me(thinking): "wtf is tool? what form of paganism is that?"
Him: "Yeah I really like Parabola, Lateralus, and Schizm, what CD are they on?"
Me(thinking): "OH! DUH! I'm wearing a TOOL shirt!"
Me: "yeah those are some good songs. they're all on Lateralus, Aenima is a good album too"

man, I'm glad I didn't make a fool of myself...LOL :p

I do things like that all the time; when I've got loads on my mind I just space out. Sounds like you got yourself out of it, though.

you never know, maybe had you replied asking him about Tool's relation to Paganism, you could have had a pretty good conversation..etc etc...subsequent exchange of phone numbers..ya know :)

People are perpetually walking up to me and commenting on things I wear. Like, when I wear my "Stupidity is not a crime, so you're free to go." t-shirt.

A man walked up to me and asked "So am I free to go?" and I replied "Um, pardon?"

Took me a minute or two of conversing with him to realize that he was commenting on my shirt. He became very hostile and even screamed at me.

that's funny. I've never really gotten any coments on anything I wear. Except for this coat I use to wear (I'd get a coment a day on that, good and bad).

:) my apologies then :)

for some reason people just love to comment on things i wear- although most stuff that i wear is pretty cheap and bought at places where my co-workers wouldn't even think about shopping.
...and they often ask to buy some of my clothes...now that i think about it...ummm...if i paid $20 for 2 great shirts, i sell them $40 a piece...woo hoo - another source of income :lol and i don't have to do much :)

( just kidding)
