I recently got the following news and wanted to pass it along:

--------------------------------------

Ellen Cannon Reed (the Witches Tarot Deck, etc.) has been in hospital for a while now. She has leukemia and is fighting hard to beat it. She cannot have visitors or even phone calls right now so as to safeguard her against infection but what she can receive is all the good thoughts and healing energy she can get. She can also receive emails, cards and letters. Send
those cards and letters to:

Ellen Reed
c/o Providence Holy Cross Medical Center
15031 Rinaldi Street
Mission Hills, CA 91345

or you can send emails to ellen@ghostcat.com and they will get hand delivered to Ellen's nurse who will then get them to Ellen. She can not receive flowers of fruit or anything of the like, just cards and letters and I am sure they will mean the world to her.

Thank you for this post. So many go through life without a care but you, my Lady, have presented yourself magnanimously.

My thoughts and prayers are with her. I will also thank the Goddess for the likes of you.

From my heart,
RnR

I'm on an Elders group with Ellen. Sure is a great woman. :D She wrote in the other day that she'd begun losing her hair to the chemo ~ she has very long, very beautiful brown locks, too.

Oh, this is too sad :( :( :( I'll definitely have to send her something. Thank you for posting this, Lady Tana.

Mairwen, do you know what her prognosis (sp?) is? Chemo is a horrible, horrible process and usually makes you feel worse than the cancer does! But is she hanging in there? Be assured that we will be sending healing energies her way.

When my grandmother lost her hair from chemotherapy, she joked that she was going to buy one blonde wig and one red wig! She herself had black and white hair at the time, and it had started to thin a few years before. But when her hair grew back in, it was shiney, raven black and thick, thick, thick! 8O It stayed this way for about 3 years after the treatment before it started to go grey again. :) Wierd, huh?
