Like my new avatar?

It's from Please Save My Earth, which is a wonderful Anime Series. Many Pagan Themes, and action... Strange story line, but still good!

Blessings,

Kaylara

That's what I said... I saw a preview for this series on another anime, and had to get it... That picture just stuck in my head. The songs in this are beautiful as well, (even though they are in Japanese and I can't understand them) If you have a little money to splurge with, I highly suggest picking it up. I have all of the episodes on DVD.

Has anyone here seen Lain? We were thinking about picking up the DVD's of that series but wanted to get some opinions on it first.

If you want, I can make a list of the anime (non-xxx rated) that we have!

I love Lain. It is rated for 16 and up, do to a lot of blood and dealing with death. It is a good anime. It takes place near furture world. Basicly it deals with the idea of the internet being another plane or world of its own. It gets you thinking and the art work in really good. It can be hard to follow at first, but it gets beter as you go, on they explain more and more. My quote at the bottom comes from Lain. I also have the following and would be glad to talk about them with anyone just e-mail me.

Cardcaptor Sakura (Plus both movies not sold in the US yet.)
Rayearth
Slayers
Shamanic Princess

Kaylara: Lain rocks, but it takes a few viewings before the story is clear and even then it'll have you scratching your head. Heh, me and some friends determined watching all 4 tapes of that, Eraserhead, and a Troma Previews tape all in one night *will* make your brain stop functioning.

LMAO! Me and Traz went to the Trocadero (in Philly) last year for the Newgrounds/Troma party, and got that preview tape... LMAO!!! We also got three free DVD's. (The Stedenhall Syndrome, Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD, and Cannibal the Musical) We are working on getting every Troma Movie on either tape or DVD. (Tromeo and Juliet/Troma's War/Terror Firmer are just some of our newest additions)

I agree, my brain stopped functioning after watching Terror Firmer the first time... Strange Movie that one.... No distiguishable plot. (Kinda like this post)

I'm a bit more of an americanized Otaku. =P I'm anti-dub, but I TOO love CardCaptor Sakura. I only own one CCS DVD, but should be getting a few more this weekend. I also love Ranma 1/2~ ^^; That show kicks total arse. And Ninja Cadets is really, really good...but there are only TWO darn episodes...it leaves you hanging. And they NEVER finished dubbing them, or something, so they weren't released...

I'm also a Sailormoon fanatic. Say, whoever talked about the CCS movies not being released; one will be. Later this month. Dubbed AND subtitled...

*squeal!*

I saw the second one at ShoujoCon last year; the short with Spinel and Kero-chan was just TOO cute, and the movie itself was about the sweetest, cutest movie I've ever seen!

I'm too cheap to buy any sub anime (sadly....and no job either, so lack of money's my biggest prob right now :p) heheh...

But I love CCS (they started the "new" eps again, and I missed 'em!!!!! :wah2: ) & Escaflowne (is the movie out yet??? I can't remember, but I think it is)

But yes... My "anime" background type thingie is one I drew for myself (for an rpg character, actually)...Her name's Linarite. :)

Mine's from "Wish." I'm not too into it, but I thought she was really cute.

My favorite show HAS to be Cowboy Bebop...oh my...about 50 more shows and movies just popped into my head so I'm just going to stop typing now. :D
