Hello,
I know I dont post much, but I really do need some help right now.

Recently my grandmother went to go have surgery to get her bladder lifted and some other organs lifted because apparently they were starting to fall (I guess this happens with old age.) She had had this surgery before and she told everyone not to worry.

Well the surgery went well but at the time she was supposed to come around she was still very grogy. My grandfather (who had taken her to the hospital and waited while the surgery was done) was told to just leave and go home. She would be fine and to just go home and get some sleep. Well apparently everything was not ok. She had internal bleeding they did not know about and they had to do and emergency operation on her. Then they took her over to the ICU. She stayed the night there and they thought she would most likely recover.

Well they didnt find the internal bleeding. They dont know where its coming from and her blood is not clotting. Last I heard the doctors put a dye in her blood so they could find out where it was coming from but no news about it yet. They decided to leave her open so they could observe her organs functions. I was told they are going to just leave her stomach open for about 10 days.

The doctor told the family if people are going to fly out then now is the time. Because it doesnt look too good and she is most likely going to die.

I know my grandfather is crushed. And it pains me to think of him like that.

My grandfather is the most 'Christ like' person I have ever met. I have never in my whole existance ever even heard him raise his voice. He is the most kind and patient person I have ever met and I really do try to model my behaviors after him.

My grandmother on the other hand is a very strong woman. She could do anything. I know she could come out of this, but I am not quite sure if she wants to. I believe its up to her.

My mum has flown out to see my grandmother, and no one know what will happen.

I was just hoping that maybe you could light a candle for my mum, grandfather, grandmother, and the other members of my family. They are so important in my life and I hate to see the whole family in pain such as this. I just hope we can get through this.

Thanks so much,
Vickiy

(((Neko - Vicky))) I'm sorry your family is having to face this crisis. Sending you all some love and energy for strength to help come through this together. I'll light a candle this evening. Take care, and give your grandparents and your mom as much love, help and support as you can. Take care of yourself, and try not to worry too much.

Thank you all so much for helping.

They have found the artery that was causing the bleeding and they fixed it I guess. She is in a semi-stable condition right now and things are starting to look up. They are still going to leave her abdomen open.

If she survives she might have to re-learn to talk and play the piano and such. But its looking up.

I would just like to share something that I think just shows the kindness of this wonderful woman that is my grandmother.

When she was in ICU this morning she came around for a bit. I mean she wasnt coherent, but she was just muttering. My grandfather came in because they told him that she was 'awake-ish'. When he came in the only coherent thing my grandmother said was 'Thank you for the flowers' to my grandfather.

It just brings a tear to my eye...they are such good people.

Thanks again for all your help.

She is making what the doctors call a 'miraculous recovery', everything is going well but she will still be in the hospital for quite some time.

*hugs all* Thanks again
