just sent me a letter!!!!!


Well no, it was a woman that works with him, maybe his secretary.
See, I'm a huge Steve Erwin fan (as I know another lady here to be)...and I wrote him a letter (just one) saying that I loved his show, and I thought he was a truly sincere animal lover and that I tape his show and whole bunch of sappy stuff....lol
She said that he gets over 600 letters a day and not many get responses due to time constraints. But I did! Woo hoo!
Just thought I'd air my happiness....feel free to ignore.

KEWL! I met him once! They were up in the High Country checking out the area for a possible documentary on the brumbies, and I was working in our local grocery store when they came in for supplies!!!

I didn't recognise them at first until his wife (American) started talking and I noticed her accent!! LOL NOW I'm the odd one out - Australian in America... haha

They were very friendly people.

I had to write out a receipt for them and I screwed it up because they had this HUGE long company name, and I didn't hear them correctly the first time. hehehe They were very helpful and patient while I had to re-do the receipt!

He seems to be as outgoing and talkative as he is on the show, and she is rather quiet (of course, she's probably like me in my situation - doesn't talk much because no one understands her! haha).

I hadn't really seen much of his show (it was when it was just starting out years ago) so I didn't really know much about them, or their work. So I didn't really have much to say to them. But fame doesn't seem to go to their heads, they were really cool when my boss went up and gushed "You're the Crocodile Hunter aren't you!?"

We just LOVE that show.... me and the eagle and the munchkins all sit around watching it together (our 'quality' family time lol)

He's soooooo awesome!!! and i dearly love that advertisement he did for... argh.. fed x? ups? whoever...lol just knew it was Steve... didnt care about the company :D

I absolutely adore that show. Having been raised on nature shows this one is educational, reminds me of my childhood, and is exciting!! I'm known to say crikey at various times.

My favourite ep is the one wherein he was around the komodo dragons and a whole bunch of them chased him to a cottage and he pushed them with a stick till they lumbered off. Then he said something along the lines of "they almost got me! let's follow 'em!!" and off he went. Or the one where they were learning about rats and one went down terri's shirt (ew)! Also the one where he's in the crick with the croc and all the lights go out. Crikey!
